Wedding

We had the most incredible wedding day at Hillbark and couldn’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect.
A huge thank you to Charlotte for all of the planning, support, and attention to detail leading up to the day — nothing was ever too much trouble and she made the whole process feel so easy and stress-free.
We also want to thank Sherry for making sure the day itself ran so smoothly. Everything was seamless, organised, and relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
The venue itself is stunning, the staff were amazing, and the whole day exceeded every expectation we had. We’re so grateful to the entire team for giving us the perfect wedding day and memories we’ll cherish forever.

An absolute treat!

Last weekend we had the sheer indulgence and joy of staying at the magnificent Hillbark on the Wirral.
I want to share our photos along with HUGE thanks to the staff. We love this hotel, had a truly perfect stay, and recommend it for special occasions.
We were so well looked after, the food wonderful, and wow check out our suite !
I will recommend you also through my local independent travel agency, Live Your Dream Travel

"First class"

We've just had the most enjoyable stay at this wonderful hotel.
Could not fault anything.
The staff are excellent, professional, courteous and always available and wanting to help.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, both evening and breakfast.
Presentation was superb.
We would absolutely recommend this hotel, particularly for "special occasion" celebrations.

Christmas Dinner Disaster

Went for Christmas dinner with the family, we had been several rimes previously. Great setting but things went down hill pretty soon, asked the barman for, amongst other drinks, a margarita, is that a pizza? Was his reply. The advertised champagne we wanted was not available and the glass of wine we wanted was also unavailable, we had pre ordered our wine and eventually we were served a pre dinner glass of wine from one of the bottles from our table. A five/six course Christmas dinner with all the trimmings was our anticipated feast, nice table, great setting and quality crackers were a portent of the disaster to follow…. Minute portion of pâté, tasty, various sized lemon sole portions served less than warm with a sauce that looked as if it had been measured out with a thimble. Then came the centre piece of the festive meal, a choice of turkey or beef wellington. 2 thick slices of turkey, which were moist and tasty, the beef wellington was a different matter, overcooked, the pastry was virtually non existent. We had to request the pigs in blankets, which were only available for the turkey eaters. The accompanying vegetables were disappointing and the roast potatoes were were anything but !! Boiled at best and not enough for 2 each. Complaints at this stage went unheeded by the management, the cheese course and Christmas pudding were what you might expect from Hillbark, no complaints there. A very dissatisfying experience with no apologies from the staff or management after sharing our concerns again as we settled the bill. We sensed there was friction in the kitchen as we could clearly hear raised voices from within. We won’t return .
