Before season stay was perfect to us
I stayed at the premeses, apartment 1. ground floor apartment. I got roof over my motorbike right outside the door. It was everything I needed. Just on the end of my building there was outdoor huge swimming pool 24 degrees warm in presummer, before school holidays and the Norwegian summer heat. The kitchen equipment was just enough if there was 3 persons , only 3 knives. There should'nt cost to much to upgrade some more. The TV was a joke. No cable.. but i was not there to watch so it didnt bother me . The apartment heater was to high regulated. You can save more power with proper thermostate or maybe im just too much Vikingblood. I had to turn down every heater and open doors and windows when i arrived. Then it got perfectly regulated. Nice to have heat on the bathroom floor, and nessesarry for the drying i presume. I will come back with friends and family. Beautiful place by the ocean. The staff was kind,helpful and lovely. Fresh bakery in the morning at the reception boutique.

Good mood
We had a very nice stay. There are, of course, a lot of children and a lot of sound, but mostly only good mood. A little life in the evenings, but nattero all days. Nice pool with ok temperature, nice with serving of food and drinks. Well-noted places and the transition between the places.
All the young people who work here have been very positive, smiling and welcoming.
The facilities are somewhat worn, and not as in the best places elsewhere but still totally ok and with good cleaning. Only one day of rain were the dirty floors. The showers are not of the best, the minigolf is slick and outdated but everything has its charm. Nice with small shop.
It is the atmosphere that draws up the overall impression, very cozy evenings, everyone cheers, most are decorated with lights and chains and it is very cozy to go for an electric walk in the evening.

Very loud and disappointing seating assignment
We were looking forward to a relaxing family vacation, but were immensely disappointed. The campsite is designed and organized in a way that is absolutely unfriendly to children.
Our pitch was in the furthest corner of the grounds – miles away from the pool and the central facilities. For families with children, this is extremely impractical and exhausting, as you constantly have to cover incredibly long distances.
The most beautiful and well-located spots all seem to be firmly in the hands of long-term campers. As a transit or vacation guest, you are assigned the least attractive plots right by the road instead. The constant traffic noise then made the lack of relaxation complete.
We definitely cannot recommend this place for families and will certainly not be coming back!

Everything We Needed for a Great Stay
We had a wonderful stay here during our annual mother-and-child camping trip. The campsite is the perfect size – large enough to offer everything you need, yet small enough to feel welcoming and easy to get around.
The tent pitches are spacious and well laid out, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. The on-site shop is well stocked with everything you might need, and the prices are very reasonable.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Information about quiet hours and other campsite rules was clearly displayed around the campsite and on the website, which helped create a peaceful and respectful atmosphere.
Renting a boat was a real highlight of our stay, and the surrounding area offers beautiful hiking opportunities.
This is a campsite that truly seems to have something for everyone – families with children, and teens, couples, older visitors, and even four-legged guests. We would happily return.

Insecure stay – failure to deal with harassment from permanent residents
We arrived later than planned the first night, but this was cleared in advance. I called the front desk, and was informed that late arrival was completely fine. I got a map of the area by email and was asked to drive directly to our place.
When we backed the caravan in place, while the kids were still in the car, a permanent neighbor came to us. He began to whisper, weave with his pointing finger and behave in a way that we felt very threatening. He appeared drunk, and during the confrontation, he urged my husband to distribute knives. The whole situation was very unpleasant, especially because our children sat in the car and witnessed what happened.
Unfortunately, this was not the end of the events. The next morning, the situation worsened further. Another resident lady continued what we experienced as harassment. Among other things, she threatened to contact the child care department, which we felt was very serious.
In addition, she took our children away to the pool area without asking us for permission. At this point we were packing out the caravan, connecting power and getting in place. When we asked to get the kids back so we could have them with us, she refused to get them back. As parents, we felt this very unpleasant and unacceptable. We are responsible for our children, and no stranger should take them with them or keep them away from us without our consent.
The children were very touched by the events, and the uncertain start affected the entire stay. We traveled to Sørlandet Feriesenter to have a pleasant holiday together as a family, but instead sat back with an experience of being undesirable and subject to repeated harassment from permanent residents.
The most disappointing thing is that we left with the impression that some permanent residents do not want holiday guests in the area. If this is a known problem, we believe Sørlandet Feriesenter has a responsibility to find a solution. In our opinion, the places around the relevant permanent residents – including at area/place 304 – should not be rented out to holiday guests if this leads to such conflicts.
We expect Sørlandet Feriesenter to investigate the events and inform us of what concrete measures will be taken to prevent other guests from experiencing the same.
