A tiny slice of paradise, where the warmth & hospitality of the team stay with you forever
From the moment we arrived we were treated like family, and felt so welcomed. You walk through the doorway into the most magical slice of paradise, you slip off your flip flops, and are greeted by the most big hearted, genuine, nicest group of people, who greet you like long lost friends and make your stay truly unforgettable. My family of 6 stayed for 5 nights in July and we’ve all agreed it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. I never realised how much difference the hotel staff could make to a hotel until we stayed at Hani - we will probably never find another place like it and I dream of coming back one day! In regards to the details - the rooms & pool
are stunning; the quality of the food is amazing - the restaurant is the best on the island; the hotel hired electric mopeds for us and arranged a snorkelling trip to Gili Meno, both of which were so much fun! We were lucky to have a sneak peak at the extension to Hani which was opening a few days after we left - and it is equally beautiful. Hani Hideaway is truly special and the incredible team we met there will forever stay in our hearts. Thank you to the entire team, and big shout out to Peng, Johnny, the amazing guitar player/ singer whose name escapes us but whose voice we will always remember! We wish we could remember all your names the way you remembered each of ours, so apologies for not mentioning you all by name but each and every one of you are amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our holiday truly magical!

Hani Hideaway ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Indonesia, and honestly, one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us like family. Every interaction was genuine, warm, and thoughtful. It’s rare to find a place where the hospitality feels so effortless and sincere, but everyone at Hani Hideaway made us feel completely at home.
The property itself is a little sanctuary. It’s peaceful, beautifully designed, and somehow manages to feel both luxurious and incredibly comfortable. After spending our days exploring Gili Air, it was always a joy to come “home.” The gardens, pool, and common spaces create such a calming atmosphere that it was hard to leave each morning.
I treated myself to the Hani Suite for part of my stay, and it was absolutely beautiful. Spacious, thoughtfully designed, and filled with lovely details, it felt like the perfect retreat. It struck that rare balance of being stylish while still feeling cozy and welcoming.
One experience that deserves special mention is the family dinner. If you’re staying at Hani Hideaway, don’t miss it. Sharing an incredible home-cooked meal around one table with the hosts, staff, and other guests became one of the most memorable evenings of our entire Indonesia trip. It perfectly captures what makes this place so special: it’s not just somewhere to sleep—it’s a place that brings people together and makes you feel like you’re part of something.
I’ve stayed in many beautiful hotels over the years, but very few have left such a lasting impression. Hani Hideaway has heart, and that’s something you can’t manufacture.
If you’re visiting Gili Air, do yourself a favor and stay here. I have no doubt I’ll be back.

Our room was cleaned twice a day, and it was always spotless and well maintained. The hotel’s location is excellent, with plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and shops within easy walking distance.
We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very well looked after. We would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
