Lovely stay at Chalki
Good breakfast and service. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Cool to be able to swim directly from the hotel terrace.

Lovely hotel on the edge of the harbour
Hotel only has three stars but completely adequate for a stay in Halki .
Sun beds outside with direct access to swimming in the sea.
Short walk to the restaurants and two beaches .
Only caveat if mobility is an issue then perhaps the walk to the harbour may be a struggle as lots of steps and uneven surfaces

Perfect short stay at Hotel Artenasa
From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed. Yannis, the hotel manager, was exceptionally helpful in every possible way and made our stay especially easy and pleasant.
Our room was extremely clean upon arrival, and an extra third bed was provided immediately as requested. We were also able to check in a bit earlier, which we greatly appreciated.
Overall, everything was simply perfect from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always accommodating. We were even allowed to stay longer the next day and continue using the garden furniture and sun loungers, which made our stay even more relaxing.
We truly felt very comfortable throughout our stay.
From our perspective, this hotel deserves the highest rating, as we were treated with kindness and care from beginning to end.

Absolute bliss in Chalki. The real Aegean Gem!
From the second we stepped off the Aegean Gem ferry from Rhodes, Yiannis took the best care of us, driving us to the hotel, pointing out places of interest along the way. We stayed in a triple room with balcony on the first floor and looked out over the harbour, absolute bliss! A really comfy bed, a large room with lots of space and all decorated in relaxing beachy colours. We had emailed the hotel in advance and asked for a kettle in our room and that was there when we arrived. We were also able to borrow an iron while we were there.
Chalki is a really small island with only one town, but there are ample restaurants to choose from for an evening meal and some good shops too (The Queen of Halki sells some beautiful hand made jewellery).
There is a small beach with beautiful turquoise water just a 5-10 walk from
the hotel, plus you can also get a water taxi to Kania and a taxi or a slightly longer walk to Pondamus beach. We visited all three (sunbeds are available and also tavernas) but also spent 3 days on the loungers at the Aretanassa. Really comfortable and you can swim by climbing down a ladder.
Yiannis, the hotel manager made this holiday for us. He was so caring and attentive and a fantastic host. Plus the other staff (Dimitri and others) were really lovely too, the only thing preventing a repeat booking is the fact there are many more islands for us to visit.
