He's a dropout. Avoid this hotel in any case. Better sleep in car then

That's a sucker. Dirty and decrepit. Avoid an overnight stay in any case. Then prefer to stay in car

Avoid at all costs!

I had the same experience as other reviewers. I booked and paid in full three weeks in advance and received a confirmation of the booking. I emailed them on the day to tell them what time I would be arriving but when I got to reception all they could say was there are no rooms available and we ended up sleeping in the car for the night.
Apart from that, the area is disgusting and the reception is done by the lady working as the petrol station cashier. No signs to say where the hotel or reception was either. Third world hotel system at best!

A Hotel Nightmare

After an extremely long and arduous drive across the UK, France, and then Belgium this week, we were unfortunate enough to drop into this hotel at 11-35pm on the 22nd Oct 2008. We had already stayed at 3 road-side motels in the UK, & not paid anywhere near the 95 Euros we were charged to stay at this place. All had tea/coffee facilities in the room, were clean, spacious, offered wi-fi connection, and were generally good value for money.
The supposedly non-smoking room at Rasthof und Motel Fernthal was dirty (I left a tissue with the dust accumulations wiped from the extremely small 'double' bed), grubby carpet, delapidated shower equipment (no shower curtain or door), but worst of all, was the stink of smoke in all areas. I spotted a used condom on the concrete steps leading up to the Reception area, and which had clearly been there for some time.
Exhaustion and the late hour forced us to accept conditions; a mistake, in that neither of us were able to sleep. I complained to the Receptionist at the time of departure, and while she nodded acceptance, there was no sign or mention of an apology!
Our joint opinion of Rasthof und Motel Fernthal? Even if you've driven for hours and are totally shattered, drive on - it's just not worth stopping.

Ich wäre fast in ein anderes MOTE/HOTEL gefahren bevor ich in dem Hotel übernachte, aber es war 01:00h!

Das Motel wad Angeboten wird für 59 € in der Nacht ist eine reine Frechheit! Das ist nicht das abgebildete Haus sondern eine Barake im dunklen Hinterhof! Dreck, tote Spinnen, lebende Spinnen, dreck im Badezimmer(wurde niemals gereinigt), Dreck im Zimmer, zerlegte Minibar, Brandflecken auf den Holzflächen! Ich bin nicht ohne Socken über den Teppich gegangen! Ich kam aus Hamburg und wäre gerne weggefahren, aber die Müdigkeit war zu groß! Das Haus ist bei den Zimmern 1-7 om tief Paterre ist vollgemüllt, das Haus ist offen und unbewacht! Ich habe in meiner Kleidung 5 Stunden geschlafen und bin "geflüchtet"! Bilder habe ich gemacht!!

Kleine kamers, oude badkamer

Voor een korte overnachting op weg naar wintersport ok. Een kleine kamer en een oude badkamer, bed vrij klein maar Ok. We konden het hotel eerst niet vinden: het ligt net achter de parkeerplaats. De receptie zit in het Serways wegrestaurant. Om bij het hotel te komen moet je net voor de Serways afslaan naar rechts dan naar beneden rijden. Het is het gebouw aan de rechterzijde.
