What a gem this boutique hotel is!!!! I loved the history of this hotel; it is SO charming! Our manager, Jordan was SO helpful in finding a way to have my husband and my clothes pressed for a funeral when the steamer that we brought didn't work. Jordan was also very attentive to our needs during a random wildfire that took place during the day of the funeral that we came to attend. He made sure to message us with updates regarding the timing that roads would be back open so we could get back to the hotel. I loved the eclectic decor, the cool bar and how beautiful the building is. The setting next to the river is picturesque with it's clear water and nearby rapids - absolutely stunning views! The pool was very refreshing and our room was cooled to the perfect temperature. The beds were so cozy, we slept soundly every night. Our only tiny issue had to do with the excessive amount of bees flying around the indoor/outdoor dining area. I am allergic to bees so it was of concern to me only. I was able to eat two meals there without getting stung, so that was a bonus! Maybe they are just in that area because we ate at many other outdoor establishments in Venaco, Corté and Ajaccio without any bees around. This issue would not stop me from staying here again, in fact, I look forward to another stay the next time that I come to Corsica! What an absolute pleasure it was to stay here!! My husband was thrilled as well. A+++

A true discovery

An idyllic place with a pool, river, spa, and massage, after a cycling tour in Corsica, divinely relaxing, excellent dinner, I recommend.

We loved our stay! The room with the little backyard at riverside was perfect. Dip in the cool river might have been the best swim we had in Corsica.
Very pleasant personnel. The athmosphere, restaurant and cocktails all spot on. Next time we will stay longer!

4* house with 2* service

Great hotel, great facility beautifully located in the mountains in the MItte of Corsica and ideal for trips around the island
However, the service is equivalent to a maximum of 2* youth hostel. Simple customer requests (to make a table of 4) are not or instructively and negatively reacted. The youthful service staff were massively overwhelmed and certainly did not attend a hotel school for a single day in their lives. You had to wait until dessert for ordered drinks. The payment ended in furious chaos in which countless drinks in the top 3 figures were charged to several parties simultaneously. Discussions about error were not discussed further. Room service (beds & bath) only on explicit request - we only noticed after a few days that you have to request this separately. The breakfast buffet was often emptied with refills you were in no particular hurry - questions about the cause of this condition were ignored annoyed. In the room, the balcony doors (easily accessible to everyone from the outside) were not lockable - something jolting the door and it opened. Then, of course, it is optimal that the hotel safe is not screwed down and can simply be pulled out and carried away. It goes without saying that the hotel accepts no liability.
All in all, price performance is not right in any way - either the price must be significantly lowered or the quality of service greatly increased. Please do not forget: The clientele pay your salary!

Merveilleuse

A superb hotel in a great setting. The restaurant is excellent and the staff is at the top.
I really recommend it.
