GREAT WELCOME - FEELS LIKE HOME

It was on the eve before France eased the Corona travel restrictions and EU borders were opened. Since our flights from Nice to Germany had been canceled, we chose to drive the 2000+ km by rental car. Quite tired and hungry we arrived early evening at SCI du Muhlbach and were greeted by our hostess Patricia. "You are my very first guests after many weeks of lockdown" she exclaimed and welcomed us with a happy smile. She showed us the huge, nicely decorated room and then surprised us with an offer we could not possibly have refused. "Why don't you join me and my husband for dinner on the terrace?" It turned out to be a feast. Patricia had prepared for an exceptional barbeque with a variety of meats including lamb, beef, pork, chicken, and salads accompanied by the best of French Alsace red and rose wines. Since the price for our room had only included breakfast, we were happy to pay the moderate extra price for this unforgettable dinner. Unfortunately, we were able to stay only for one night but promised Patricia to be back one day.
