Simply excellent
This is undoubtedly the best table in Gex. The choice of dishes is relatively small, but it is a guarantee of quality, whether it is a local specialty like fondue or more conventional dishes, everything is prepared with care, the dishes are hearty, and it must be said, absolutely delicious!
Service is warm, very competent, always ready to you, advise on your choices, always with a smile and in a good mood.
As for the location at the col de la Faucille, there is no problem to park, some tables, offer a magnificent view of the Leman and the terrace is always very nice.
I highly recommend this property.

Mandatory stop here
Fantastic and excellent, this stage at the top of the sickle neck before arriving at Gex is well worth stopping. A menu with many choices but not infinite are guaranteed traditional and sought after home cooking. The lamb mouse of the day and the tartare presented in a very original way with are quite convincing fruit and vegetable mix. And what about the Bresse poultry baline stuffed with vegetables and veal? Just beautiful!
All served with a very fruity and sweet Arboit rosé. The prices very reasonable considering the qualities met and the kind Service made us spend with my friends a joyful and unforgettable time. Thank you to the Colnot team for this wonderful moment.

A real pleasure from start to finish
Suite has a small improvised stay with my companion
And a crazy urge on his part to enjoy a fondue
We looked for an establishment open on a Tuesday night which seemed complicated in Gex
We discovered by chance the crown hotel restaurant
After a nice little car ride admiring the mountains (for those who like it of course) We had the chance to admire a beautiful view from the top of the pass
It was very easy to find the property and park
So we entered this establishment with special charm
The decoration was really original and friendly
Personally we fell in love with the charm of the establishment
With regard to Service and Meal
We came across very welcoming staff
All along the Service the waiter came to ask us if we needed anything and was at our care
If he didn't know how to answer each of our requests, he'd go and find out.
Yes, even if you are a waiter, you have the right not to know something
For the meal for our part we had a Swiss franc fondue
Absolutely nothing wrong we were served quickly
The taste was totally there
This was in line with our expectations
For wine we were not disappointed either
The price is more than correct or even given (we know if we are wine connoisseur ) (which means my companion and not me of course)
For the dishes and there is my area
I heard one of the customers say that food is expensive
I'm not going to lie the price range is a little high but it's not Michelin restaurant either
For clarity this restaurant offers ribs
Salmon gravelax
Beef ribs and so on
I find that the price is in line with the product sold (don't expect a rib for 15 euros of course it's not its price)
the only advice I could give being known profession would be to modify perhaps slightly the menu with lower priced dishes in order to make the restaurant accessible to more people because in these times it is more difficult to be able to consume expensive even if it was super good
In any case I recommend the establishment without hesitation

Perfect
A pleasant welcome, unfailing attention, a cuisine menu and quality products with varied, copious offerings, professional, attentive, smiling service and with a hotel section which offers a wide view of Mont Blanc to die for, surely like us with a very pleasant chalet-style room equipped with very comfortable bedding means that you will have no excuse if you do not stop at the Col de la Faucille to spend several days there like us enjoying only the best.
Since 1962, the heart has been the driving force that has ensured that this hotel-restaurant establishment is still present because the Colnot family knows how to receive and serve its customers with great humanism and professionalism.
If there is no snow, do as we did and many hikes will be recommended to you.
Special mention to Madame and the dog Scratch the mascot.
Thank you to the entire Colnot family who allowed us to have an excellent stay and to forget the negative.

The restaurant is probably the best in the entire region.
Highly traditional local dishes, cooked in the old-fashioned way.
Everything is a treat, it's unique.
The hotel is also very pleasant and some rooms have a breathtaking view of the Lake Geneva plain and the Mont Blanc range.
Just behind the host, the Monts Jura ski resort and 12 minutes away, other resorts including Les Rousses.
Staff and management are charming and welcoming.
Highly traditional local dishes, cooked in the old-fashioned way.
