Nice Welcoming for Guests with Dog
We stayed there for two nights. Clean and very well renovated rooms. Balcony overlooking the river. Beautiful beach within walking distance. Dog friendly. At low tide the dog can run for miles. Only downside for us was the location. There is nothing around the hotel to get around on foot.

Original experience to try!
I slept in the dome and loved the experience. Being lulled by the sound of wind and waves, drinking coffee while admiring the river and Mont Sainte-Anne in the distance completely charmed me. We enjoyed the cleanliness of the place, the warm welcome of the owners and being able to bring our dog with us is a big must. We also enjoyed the quality of the meals at the Captain's snack bar. I recommend the southern burger and the French toast, made from local products. If you're looking for a place to refuel, I highly recommend the Beach Motel. Bring warm clothes, the weather is sometimes unpredictable on the riverbank. You may be able to see kite-surfers facing the small north wind .

Nice motel...
We passed by this motel as part of a 10 day road trip in Quebec. This room was one of the most expensive in the hotel range that we had: the most beautiful view certainly, but not the most comfortable...
So we spent one night in room No. 3 of this riverside motel (queen bed...). The location of the motel is clearly well placed. A parking lot is right in front, and we were able to park the car almost in front of our door.
No reception during check-in, but we received an email the day before telling us which room was ours and how to retrieve the code for said room when we arrived.
The motel is next to a restaurant of the same name (same owners). So, no breakfast included in the price of the room at the motel but we had the possibility of having a takeaway breakfast at the restaurant and eating it on our room terrace. (eating at the restaurant with the same view of the river was also possible).
The room was adequate, (be careful, however, for the cleaning staff to pay attention to details: count the bath towels (one was missing), also clean the corners well..).
The shower room was also suitable (European shower head unlike what is often found in Quebec).
The room was equipped with the usual facilities (coffee/tea making facilities, fridge, air conditioning, etc.). The bedding was adequate and clean. When we arrived, the bedside lamp was not working and we asked for help next door at the restaurant; someone was sent to us straight away to change the bulb. Overall, we slept peacefully. Negative point however: the river being a few steps away, there are many mosquitoes; despite mosquito nets on the windows and great care in closing the door quickly, we were bitten numerous times... we discovered the next day that the bathroom mosquito net is not "waterproof" and that mosquitoes had therefore sneaked in...

Great accommodation and amazingly beautiful
Very low price for the quality of the view and the clean installations! We had few questions for the staff and they were very friendly and very helpful. They made a great first impression for the place!
The motel is right by the St-Lawrence river, with the majority of rooms having a private balcony with a view directly at the river. Sunset on the left, light from the sunrise coming from the right!
The motel is probably freshly renovated; the bathroom's tiles, the room's floor and the wall's paint were clean and modern. Bathroom soaps are high-quality-products locally-sourced. The room included a small fridge and free coffee, both clean appliances and very appreciated!
Only inconvenient : it is probably an old building because it was really not soundproof between the rooms. Fortunately, everything is on one floor so no stepping above your head.
The location is nice, easy to access, and close to Montmagny for grocery and restaurants. The motel has a private free charging station for electric car (1 x 240V) and it is located near four public fast charging stations.
We went there in (snowy) April and it was still worth it since we needed to find a place to stay near the Montmagny hospital anyway.

Pluses and Minuses
We had a code to get our key so we didn't see any actual people. Our neighbours had a problem with their smoke alarm beeping and they didn't know what to do or how to contact anyone. There were four of us and although the room did have two double beds, it was VERY crowded. The bathroom was tiny - if you are even a bit overweight, it might be difficult to get in. There was also a problem with turning on the shower - we all got drenched. The wifi was unreliable. (We were in the Room 10 which felt as if it were an after-thought.) On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, although we had been told there wasn't really a view, we did have a slice of the river from the balcony. Unexpectedly, it was very quiet and we all slept very well. The pillows were the best we had had on our trip. The breakfast next door was fantastic as was the beach view.
