Ovens Valley Motor Inn stay

You know how people make a nice place even better...well this is one of those places. The room we were in was neat, clean, functional and BIG. The property well maintained with a nice pool and BBQ area. The people running and servicing this place even better. Our plans while in Bright kinda fell apart and we needed to make some changes on dates and accommodation, on short notice, and the help we received from the owner/s was unbelievable. Let me just say, Ovens Valley Motor Inn will always find me looking for accommodation when ever I need to stay in Bright. Like I said, a nice place, in a beautiful area run by awesome people!!!!!

Relaxing and quiet

Great service, very clean rooms, spacious, and always a winner for me, fluffy bath towel. Outlook from my kitchen window, country, horses and ducks. I met up with family members who shared the same opinions as myself. All ground floor units.
Continental breakfast available for purchase.
Definitely look forward to the next visit.

Great service to our group (of 36)

Our Probus Club group of 36 used the property as our base for a 5 day exploration of the Ovens and Buckland valleys. The owners (Shannon and Sim) and the staff, esp the on site manager Ting Ting, were superb. I have rarely been better looked after.
The rooms are large and very comfortable. They have A/C controllable by each guest, small kitchenettes including refrigerators and electric kettles, electric blankets (though I did not need one) and clean bathrooms with a decent flow of hot water. My bed was Queen sized, semi-soft and let me sleep very soundly.
Like most Australian motels, tea, instant coffee, milk (real milk), sugar and a few biscuits were supplied in the room. The tea brand was unknown to me but the tea bags made an excellent brew. There was 1 litre of full cream milk in the frig when I checked in. That's not so usual in Australian hotels/motels.
Our group had a 'happy hour' each night and had common breakfasts and evening meals. The motel catered to aur arrangements. The catering was basic but tasty, just as you might expect with bulk catering. There were some gems including a Vichysoisse one night that was delicate, tasty and smooth, a simple soup done vey well.
My lasting impression of Ovens Valley Motor Inn is that it has a committed staff group that go out of their way to provide great service.

So very spacious - couch, dining table and 3 chairs as well as the bed - and comfortable. Room 9 was perfect for for a 3 night s

Such a spacious room! QS bed, couch for watching TV, and table with 3 chairs too. Lots of room and oodles of space for clothes, laptops etc on room-length shelf. We were in Room 9. We stayed for 3 nights, explored the area (49th wedding anniversary dinner at Elm Dining was superb). To have such a spacious room, not too far from the yield centre, was a treat. Very helpful and friendly staff /owners. Plenty of coffee and tea, good bathroom. A real standout motel accommodation.

Only if you have too

Very ordinary accommodation at top dollar. A bit too far out of town, a bit too expensive, a bit too dated. Sorry - no one is making any effort here. For goodness sake if you’re going to charge these rates, get some decent tennis balls, fix the bbq, get some quality pillows, provide more coat hangers,give us a sink plug and a tea towel!
But Bright is beautiful in autumn!
