Peaceful wonderful retreat by the ocean .. amazing accommodation nature abounds ,, defiantly spoiled the team amazing

Phu Quoc Island turned out to be the best last stop on our 33 day travels of Vietnam
we started in the north... Ha Giang traveling south to this lovely Island. Mango Bay was a paradise, the villa we had was looking over the ocean and in a lovely forested surround. We even had monkeys visit up in our open room bathroom shower.. they got to know us over out short 5 days. The beach was beautiful, swimming out to dock in safe calm waters, lovely beach chairs and service for lunch drinks right there. Also lot of amenities kayaks snorkels all there. And for us just relaxing watching fisherman day and night. The restaurant down by the water was our go to. The main one for breakfast too as the waters lap by your table. Could not be better. The gals were fun and so caring from turning our bedrooms down at night to dining ... always a smile and interested in our day.. outings. The little village is just a short walk, among many restaurants, outings we did one tour but regret as would have just loved enjoying more of our surroundings. The Host was lovely, he would sit and chat with you to see if they could do more for you or suggest things, live music too was wonderful. We my daughter and I truly loved all the nature around us and the ocean.. and most our host.. all of them.. from cooks to gardeners.. lovely... thank you ever so much ... a definite return... longer next time...
ps they even have a huge garden area growing food for your stay... food was amazing from breakfast to dinner.. and room are well equipped with all you need for an after dinner drink or a afternoon sip.. well equipped.. best I have ever seen..

Excellent stay in a charming setting

We had a great stay at this charming resort with tropical atmosphere with many services.
Our room with natural materials, with a beautiful terrace facing the sea, and a large open bathroom.
Services were top quality with a smile on top.
Too bad all that is missing is a pool..
But the 29-degree sea was enough for us.
They loan us bikes, canoes, masks and snorkels, and padels...
Yoga lessons every morning by the beach
I forgot fantastic breakfasts and sorbet to welcome us.
Thank you to the whole team.

Amazing place to connect with nature and find inner balance

An unforgettable experience - from location, to accommodation, dinning, activities, people attitude and kindness. Rooms are big with a very authentic, earthy, natural feel but with right amenities to have the necessary comfort. They ate cleaned daily and fresh towels are received on daily basis. This is a place where you go to get connected with the nature and with yourself. If you are bothered by birds sounds or lizards or any kind of jungle creatures this is not for you. If you truly like to be in the middle of the nature this is by far the best place we've ever been. Also the beach, the water, the available activities on the beach, the daily yoga... all were amazing and we would like to thank the staff and Doi and Ronan for making sure everything is taking care of.

Warning! Beach bar closes. No service!!

⚠️ DAY PASS WARNING — Save your money and go elsewhere
We paid 500,000 VND per person (1,000,000 VND total) for the so-called 'Lazy Lunch Day Pass', which promises beach loungers, towels, and F&B credit at the Beach Bar.
Reality check:
— The Beach Bar was CLOSED. No warning, no notice, nothing.
— Want a drink? You have to walk all the way up to the On The Rock Restaurant yourself. In 35°C heat. With zero beach service.
— A resort staff member was present on the beach but flat-out refused to help, simply pointing toward the restaurant.
For 1,000,000 VND combined, you'd expect at least basic beach service. Instead you get sunbeds, a closed bar, and a shrug.
Do yourself a favour: skip the Day Pass entirely. There are better beaches on Phu Quoc with actual service and no overpriced vouchers. Bai Sao and Ong Lang Beach itself both offer sunbeds and cold drinks without this nonsense.

Due to an issue with a damage passport, we were meant to be travelling to Indonesia, but unfortunately immigration would not let us leave Vietnam. We quickly had to come up with a Plan B and we chose to fly internally to the island of Phu Quoc. Quickly did some research and found Mangobay. A short taxi from the airport to little corner of paradise. We will found that Bali vibe. Stuff attentive and really friendly. The rooms are beautiful with both Aircon and fans. You are second walk from the beach. They have paddle boards and kayaks to use for free. A beach bar which is proper at at night with music. Breakfast in The Restaurant in the morning is wonderful. I have a selection of foods both hot and cold. At night they have a small outdoor cinema and the Restaurant for evening meal was fantastic, so much better than I expected. All in all I highly recommend Mangobay and wood definitely return.
