Ideal for a snack or dinner, you will be surprised.
A unique place with architectural quality; we went for dinner and a snack, both are very good experiences, but the snack is the best in Punta del Este, with its place, atmosphere, quality, variety, and service.

What a huge pleasure!
Under this title, I have made my very favorable comment on the other page of L'Auberge, dedicated to its restaurant. Last night's dinner was truly unforgettable, with perfect cuisine and the excellent attention from Jessica. How wonderful that this place is maintained over time!

This place was a disappointment. I do not recommend it.
The structure is beautiful, but the staff is HORRIBLE.
We felt like a nuisance during the three nights we stayed. The staff does not know how to say good morning, good afternoon, good evening, excuse me, or thank you. To give examples.
I ordered lemon tea, and they gave me hot water with pieces of lemon. Is a tea too much to ask???
I had dinner there every night, and the salmon was RAW. When I notified them, someone from the kitchen came and said, "Give me the plate." No apologies, no good nights, nothing. When they brought it back, the plate was super hot; it seemed like they had put it in the microwave. That salmon costs more than 1000 Uruguayan pesos, and for the entire stay, it was more than 30,000 Uruguayan pesos.
During the snack, we tried the waffles, and they were rushing me because they were running out of tables. I left without having my cappuccino, and when I said I would not leave a tip, the kitchen staff asked me, "NO??????" Leaving a VERY uncomfortable moment. Something always happened, and that attitude, especially from the kitchen, removing the girl from the breakfast room. No one knows about basic hospitality. I caught a cold upon arrival and I hope you feel better. They did not allow me to take breakfast to the room even seeing how unwell I felt.
Oh, by the way. For 3 nights, they provide only 1 bar of soap. Miserable.
I remind you that we were 2 people. We left a fortune in that place that does not deserve it.

Why you need to stay in this hotel
I had such a special stay at Hotel L'Auberge Punta del Este, it’s one of those places that feels personal from the moment you arrive.
What I loved most was how calm and green everything feels. The gardens are beautiful and spacious, and I found myself spending a lot of time just enjoying the outdoor areas, whether by the pool or walking around without any real plan. It really invites you to slow down.
The room had a French-style charm that made it feel cozy and comfortable at the same time, not overly modern, but warm and inviting, which I personally loved.
And the food… definitely a highlight. The Belgian waffles fully live up to the reputation (I’d go back just for those), and the breakfast bar was amazing, generous, fresh, and something to look forward to every morning. I also had the chance to enjoy their barbecue, which made the experience feel even more complete.
Overall, it’s a place with character, not just a place to stay. If you’re looking for something peaceful, charming, and a bit different from the typical Punta del Este hotel, I would absolutely recommend it.
