The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is incredible.

I really enjoyed my stay at Meander. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They even had an event to see the fireflies. Although the rain made it impossible to see them, PJ (the tour guide) still made sure we had a good time and took us to see a water show by the bridge. Speaking with other people gave me the same impression I had of the hotel/hostel. It is convenient, comfortable, clean, and one of the best stays I have had. I stayed in a single room with a private bathroom and it was very clean with the best pillows (most hotels have terrible pillows). It is close to the main MRT station and next door to a 7-11. I can't recommend it enough.

One of the world's best hostels. No hyperbole.

I love Meander so much I'm almost reluctant to review it and spoil the secret. Whatever, they earned a good review.
In short, after staying in hundreds of hostels in my life, Meander is honestly one of the best in any city. The rooms are super nice, the bathrooms are clean and numerous, the wifi is strong, the lockers are enormous, the social vibe is good, the staff is superb (everyone from the reception to the custodians to the management and so on), and the location is impossible to beat.
I'm really struggling to find a gripe here, so I can look objective. Uhm... the kitchen is a little sparse? It's also Taipei though, and no one cooks at home. Why would you when you're next to one of Asia's best night markets and food is super cheap overall?
Uhm... the lounge has only one sofa and I wish they had two? I dunno, I'm really struggling to complain here (though more armchairs and sofas *would* be nice TBH). It's just a superb hostel. Expensive? Sure, a little, but worth every cent. I will absolutely go back.
Oh, and huge shout out to PJ for taking us on those amazing (and free!) excursions.

Our experience was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff is so friendly while handling our requests. We enjoyed the free coffee and relaxing in the balcony and common area. I especially appreciate the convenient location. I needed to buy an extra carryon bag to bring home all my souvenirs, and was happy to find the many home goods stores right around the corner.
