Amazing place!
Extraordinary place. Cozy, comfortable and unique, for a very fair price. Large rooms, clean, warm…cool breakfast and breath-taking view all around. Very good service and very very good stuff. Center of Belgrade is 20 minutes far (by walk). All recommendations!

One night is enough
Was something a little quirky and enjoyed being able to spend the night on a 'boatel'. It's located close to a main walkway where you can find restaurants for a good evening meal.
The room itself was ok, however the shower was very slow to drain and we only had one towel despite there being 2 of us. The reception staff were very helpful and assisted with booking our airport transfer.
Would say try it once for the experience but don't think you need longer than that

The most terrible experience, DO NOT BOOK This Boatel!
I would not even give them one start if it is possible to not to choose a star! This is the worst experience I have ever had with hotels or Air B&Bs. I booked three days of stay in this boatel, the first day I decided to take shower around 12pm. The shower water is freezing. I asked the staff to help, and in her room the shower was also freezing. I had to borrow a water cooker from the kitchen, boiled the water and wash my hair. The next morning they said that it was because the waitress pushed on the wrong button, this evening there would be hot water. I took shower at 10pm, there was hot water at first time, and then after one minute no more. I used the second time the water cooker for the shower. And the next morning I told them that this is not possible. I must leave. I ask for the refund of the night I will not take. They are very rude, and the boss yelled to me, why other guests have hot water during the daytime and you don't have? I am also very angry, I asked, are you saying that I am lying? He is reaaaaaaallly rude! I told him how can you ask me why there is no hot water in my room? Other guests might have taken the shower during the daytime, but sorry, I want to take shower during the evening. After two days I am already almost sick! My joints are painful! And it is my fault to take a shower later? A hotel should not provide for its guests? My first two days in Serbia is totally in bad mood due to this terrible hotel and I must tell everybody about it. I strongly suggest you not to take this hotel and I will continue to complain.

Wonderful stay
I just came back from a two-week stay at this magnificent boatel. Location, room, and staff made my my stay memorable.
The pictures posted on their website are exactly what the place physically is, but being actually there is the best because it’s super special to be right on the waters of the Danube.
Room was extremely clean, andI suspect that the whole place is well maintained way beyond this coronavirus crisis.
It’s a perfect place for the active, outdoor- type of traveler as the boatel is not only on the famous river but surrounded by a huge park with bike paths, jogging trail, and a pedestrian promenade that can easily take you almost all the way to Belgrade old town, and to Zemun on the other direction.
The town center is gorgeous, a true European city with museums, cafés, boutiques, historical monuments. Zemun has a delicious provincial flavor with an everyday farmer’s market, plazas, small shops and restaurants.
Additionally, there’s a huge shopping center within half a mile from the boatel.
I walked a lot, but sometimes took the bus just steps away, and in under 10 minutes I could reach the city center or Zemun.
I also enjoyed hanging out in the lobby area or the terrace, and what a joy to have breakfast while enjoying the view of the river, the boats passing by, and the ducks that at times approach to ask for some bread.
The staff always made sure that I had everything to make my stay comfortable. They helped me with directions, recommendations, and seemed genuinely happy to help anytime I needed assistance.
I highly recommend this place, without hesitation. I will certainly stay there again, and encourage anyone to visit Belgrade, a city virtually unknown to Americans, but I am sure that those who venture to this Balkan city are in for many pleasant surprises.

Great boathouse in Belgrade
Basic but more than comfortable enough to have a relaxing stay in Belgrade. Close to the bus stop and 20-30 mins walk from the city centre. The sound of the Danube flowing past was fantastic and super relaxing. Overall a wonderful setting. Breakfast was excellent; our host made a lot of effort to ensure a varied and wholesome breakfast everyday. He wouldn't stop offering us new things to try! Staff have a good level of English and helped with local advice and booking transport at reasonable prices. The rooms are quite basic and there are some ventilation issues in the bathroom making it a little damp. Also the walls and quite thin meaning you can hear other guests moving around.
Nonetheless, I recommend staying on the Danube River and certainly consider this place if on a tight budget.
