The staff were friendly. I wish I’d taken my own hairdryer but got by!
To be honest we weren’t impressed with the restaurant food. We went across the road to the Wookey Hole inn and that was superb food.

Be thankful for what you have before attending
The hotel was dated on entering, and more so as you walked the halls to your room. Carpets were filthy, marks all over the walls, cobwebs everywhere.
The room itself was roasting on arrival as there is no AC. It was also incredibly dingy and dated. Very basic, carpets were filthy with stains, again marks on the walls, dust and cobwebs everywhere, wall light fittings not screwed to the walls properly.
The bathroom was horrible. Shower over an old plastic bath with cracks in it, old tiles and grout that’s seen much better days, hot water that came and went and scolded, the smallest sink and the toilet….was filthy and stained!
Bed linen seemed to be clean, cheap duvet and pillows, and the beds were well worn, very uncomfortable sleep.
Windows only open slightly, but the frames have never seen a duster, they were covered in cobwebs and spiders so shut these again and used the fan to attempt to move air and cool down. Old dusty fan which just make an awful noise.
Kettle still had water in it and was disgustingly well used, was absolutely not touching that.
And to top it off with the room! Lights out, this green light lit up the whole room with no way of switching it off!
Food was not great, ate else where
Staff seemed lazy and unkept much like the hotel
Coffee was mediocre at best, straight out a automatic machine
Had no stock of soft drinks
Will I be back? Not on your life! If you ever need a bump back down to earth, this is your place, stay clear.
