On arrival we were welcomed by our family name. Peter was a lovely cheerful man! He made us feel very welcome and was very accommodating! I found all the service very professional. A very nice lady served us for our lovely evening meal. She chatted with us and made our children feel very welcome and interacted with them. She was very warm and friendly.
The food was lovely and the room was very clean and homely.
Thankyou very much, we will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kings Head Thirlmere. The staff were so obliging and pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean and the meals in the restaurant that we had were superb. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family and hope to revisit on the near future.

Great location for walks around Thirlmere and for doing Helvellyn. Both evening meal & breakfast was good & service couldn’t be faulted. The room & bathroom were a good size for an overnight stay , one thing that could be improved is comfy pillows.
The lady who dealt with our check-in & served us in the evening & for breakfast was very helpful, friendly & an asset to the hotel.

Lovely hotel and bar. Friendly staff from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, with everything you needed, and with a great view too. The food was excellent in the restaurant, and breakfast, with table service, was too. Definitely recommend.

Would not stay again, hard to recommend.

Accommodation clean but very small single room. Noise throughout the night from the road outside. Food in restaurant average, nothing wrong as such just bland (fish of the day). Head bar person very pleasant. However the junior barman/waiter refused to carry on serving drinks past 21:40 on a Friday night. Had to speak with the senior bar person to ask for a drink to take back to the room, who obliged. The junior needs to learn from his peers how to treat guests, other than abruptly.
