It has the atmosphere of an old fashioned country hotel which gives it character. Spa was being refurbished so I can't comment on that. Bed was comfortable with great quality linen, the ensuite was a good size and the breakfast was decent. The staff were very helpful

Hotel full of character, undergoing renovation in places but improvements have been made since we were last there.
Dinner service was very good and if the weather’s nice it has a lovely patio area out back for dinner and a drink.
Shame the pool was closed though.

30th Wedding Anniversary

Stay was to celebrate 30th wedding anniversary having married in Botleigh Grange in 1996. Arranged this booking via 'phone - receptionist I spoke with at the time was very helpful and good humoured. Reserved table for lunch with Best Man and his wife - staff were affable & courteous while the food was tasty & well presented. Evening staff were also helpful. The hotel is clearly undergoing renovation, which is needed, and whilst the renovations may well be 'work in progress' it was still an worthwhile stay. Bedroom was rather warm with no air con, but that was no surprise - the building is old! Thirty years since we were last here; great memories and an enjoyable time had for our brief stay.

Stayed for a wedding, food was fantastic, the staff were very helpful, room clean and tidy. The building is a little tired but lovely stay.

Disappointing Return to a Place Filled with Precious Memories
My husband and I were married at Botleigh Grange on 28 August 2010, so this venue has always held a very special place in our hearts. As we approach our 16th wedding anniversary, we decided to revisit the venue with our son to show him where we got married and to explore the possibility of booking Botleigh Grange for another family celebration.
Sadly, what should have been a nostalgic and happy visit turned into a very disappointing experience.
Our interaction with a member of staff, Ryan, was unexpectedly rude and dismissive. His tone and manner made us feel unwelcome, and rather than enjoying our visit, we left feeling upset. It completely changed the atmosphere of what should have been a special trip down memory lane.
As former wedding clients and potential returning customers, we had hoped for a warm welcome. Instead, we felt like an inconvenience. The experience was so disappointing that we have decided not to hold our future celebration at Botleigh Grange and have instead booked elsewhere.
It is genuinely sad that one interaction has overshadowed such wonderful memories of the happiest day of our lives. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as no couple returning to celebrate their wedding memories should leave feeling as we did.
I sincerely hope others have a better experience than we did.
