A hotel of exceptional standard

Truly excellent four star hotel / although I did not use them this time round , there is a spa and large clean swimming pool . Ample parking upon arriving you are greeted by an excellent concierge - who will cover all your needs the hotel is exceptionally clean - the rooms cleaned to a high standard the quality of cuisine out of this world waiters / waitress’s very attentive excellent value for money

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

I selected this hotel mainly because it was a four star and had the facilities I thought it might have sadly the room we got given where as it was clean and comfortable had no air conditioning only a desk top fan needless to say I lost weight just being in the room then we went to dinner as their restaurant had some good reviews we got seated then left with no interaction for nearly 20 mins I stop someone that looked like a manager and asked if we could be served to be spoken to very abruptly that he was busy eventually we did get served the person taking the order was not writing our order down at all needless to say he came back ten mins later to ask what the order was and even then my steak was not cooked to my liking the meal cost a lot for the experience we had the room was over priced for no air conditioning and in the evening all we could hear was staff talking outside will I stay again absolutely not

The room was cheapest one bedroom but it was full of dust , very old furnitures, extremely dirty carpet. Bathroom was ok and clean
Bar looks really good on photos but its a very small bar with 2 single seats
I did not bother to test the breakfast

Good value clean food excellent

Staff very helpful and friendly nothing a problem always ready to help a very pleasant hotel to stay at with a quiet grounds very peaceful to enjoy a drink outside

Lost it's sparkle

Unfortunately, it seems standards have slipped a little. We had an amazing meal and experience last time we went but this time, a different story. 5 for a meal, the poor lad serving seemed incredibly unhappy. We did not see a smile once.
DO NOT order the prawn cocktail. £12 and 3 prawns lightly coated in sauce and the rest of the glass was full of lettuce. The sauces were left on the table the whole evening and no offer of bottled water just a jug of tap. A very lack lustre service! Desserts were ordered and no cutlery provided so that when they arrived we had to ask for cutlery and was met with " well, what do you want? Spoons? ". Very odd...were we supposed to eat with our fingers? A whole different experience from last time ! Staff training is paramount and this Hotel has been known for it's food and service but we won't be returning Unfortunately. We can get that service anywhere and expected more from here.
