Nice enough, clean and cosy with everything you could ask for, for the good value price and extremely convenient for the motorway and the NEC plus the village had lots and lots of options for food and drink in easy walking distance.
Property was easy to find and easy to park, was also nice and lovely and quiet (aside from one of the other guests setting off the fire alarm in the middle of the night smoking in their room when they shouldn't have!)
Would definitely stay here again for the NEC.

The lady that owns this property is the nicest person ever so I do feel a bit bad writing this.
The property needs a lot of TLC.
However the bed was very comfy and the shower great, we were never planning on staying in our room and the location for us was perfect.

Really poor communication

Sorry but have to give this a negative review. Whilst the room we had was large family room with 3 beds and was very clean the big problem we had was communication with the owners. As there were 3 different families all staying here 3 days before we were due to arrive i sent an email to confirm parking arrangements. No reply! Called the landlines and left message. No reply!. Called the mobile phone that the answerphone gave me Incorrect number! Looked up the details again and found the correct mobile number that was answered. And was able to sort out my question and Helen was very helpful! Having then been to a family party nearby we arrived back just before 10 pm to find the key to one of our rooms didnt work. Tried to call the emergency number ( the correct mobile number) as detailed in the reception to again be put through to voicemail giving me a different number to which there was no answer. Fortunately the room we need to access was on the ground floor and the window was open so my 70 year old brother managed to get into his room through the window. In the morning he had to get out the same way. Since we got home have sent further emails to complain but had no reply.

The room and towels had a terrible smell. Spider webs everywhere and the bed was broken on one side. No blackout curtains. Close to good restaurants and helpful guidebook in the room. Nice teas

Easy parking
Did not use spa
Owners away so could not get breakfast in but they recommended a cafe just down the road
Was a bit unsure about the front door being unlocked but apparently most hotels and B & Bs do that nowadays
Lovely place
