Relaxing, Comfortable Castle Stay With History Tour

We were the first visitors of the season for 2026. Our hosts were welcoming and very amicable. We felt right at home and loved our room, the views from the room, dinner and breakfast delicious!), the dining room, the castle gardens and surrounding countryside and the history tour after dinner…..and were sorry to leave. Nicole is a beekeeper and we are still savouring the lovely honey from her hives. Thank you Baron and Barroness for a memorable stay :) .

Authentic Castle Vibes.

Outstanding! The highlight of our 7 weeks . We felt like we had stepped back in time, we went round & round up those castle steps ( take an overnight bag, much easier) to our room which was flanked by 2 turrets. Our hosts were great, gave us a history talk and tour and the meals fantastic.

Thank you for the glowing review! We are just getting underway again for the 2025 season, having closed for the winter (when it is a bit too cold for guests in a real castle). Looking forward to lots more lovely guests like you guys.

Leslie Castle has been on our bucket list since 2018. We are thrilled that we were finally able to get there. The Castle and grounds are in immaculate condition. Nicola and John have done a masterful job with keeping the feel of the place authentic to the history. The rooms were incredible. Modernized but still feeling appropriate to the heritage. The meals were likewise excellent. Dinner was a particular highlight after which Nicola expertly entertained us with the history of the Leslie Clan as well as the Leslie Castle. Thanks to Nicola and John for their hospitality. We hope to return soon.

This was not just a castle BnB, this was a real authentic experience back in time. We were warmly welcomed by the Baroness Nicola and her husband and were instantly brought back in time. The Castle was beautifully decorated. We had a very large room with a 4 poster bed and a large bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We chosen to have dinner at the castle and would recommend that anyone staying here should do the same. We had a delicious meal served by our host, who was dressed in traditional clothes, at the large dining table beside a lovely fire which added to the ambiance. After dinner, Nicola, now dressed in tartan, shared the history and stories of the castle. It was such a great addition to our stay. We then retired to the drawing room for a whiskey and a tea. it was such a lovely evening, The next morning we had breakfast in what was the old castle's kitchen - a nice touch. We would highly recommend staying at Leslie castle for a unique and wonderful visit.
