Had a lovely stay in this lovely old building. I only dealt with one member of staff, but she was very nice and friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is also very nice. Heating wasn’t working but we were supplied with a portable heater to make the room nice and cozy. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay

Very run down and dirty rooms.
Dozens of dead flies on window sills and very clear that the rooms don't get cleaned at all.
Disappointing

Worst afternoon tea

After trying for weeks to get an afternoon tea booked in as they don’t answer their phone ! We arrived and had to wait 15 mins to be seated even though there were only 3 tables occupied. We were then served a pot of tea but not offered any coffee, after 10 mins of not been offered any I had to go and ask. We were then given our afternoon tea which was meant to be for 4 ( what was paid for ) but was only for 3, what we received can only be described as the worst afternoon tea I have ever experienced, none of the sandwiches were edible, the scone was hard and tasteless and the cakes were all out of a packet, I did not finish any of it. We then received our half a glass of Fizz that can only be described as lambrini !
I would like to say that was the worst part of this visit but sadly not the toilets were not clean and the smell was disgusting.
It was a real shame as the setting and character was lovely but felt the whole place needed an overhaul and some love

Lovely quirky room in a lovely pub in a quiet location food was lovely clean room I did think the check in service could be a little more professional has we were given wrong keys to our room. The only downside was the WiFi in the room it didn’t work and you don’t get a phone signal, taxis are must if you plan to explore walking isn’t an option due to location.
