Avoid at all costs, completely dishonest owner
Not that we had the chance to actually stay there, but the customer service is simply deplorable. Let me explain:
We arrived late (after 8 PM, having informed the hotel in advance) after booking on the road. My wife and I were with our dog and hadn't noticed that the establishment no longer accepts dogs. The manager—a man who appeared very distinguished and trustworthy—explained that dogs are no longer allowed. Seeing my embarrassment and difficulty in finding alternative accommodation at such a late hour, he clearly stated that he would issue a full refund for the room, but that I needed to request it through Booking.com since the reservation was made less than 24 hours prior.
The next day, I called Booking.com, who tried to reach him without success. On August 20th, noticing that no refund had been processed, I followed up with Booking.com. After contacting him, the platform only granted me a 50% refund, explaining that the establishment ultimately refused to refund the full amount, contrary to the commitment made on the evening of August 5th. I also contacted the hotel directly in parallel, as our exchanges demonstrate.
In short: the hotel itself may be fine, but the manager is completely dishonest, which must inevitably reflect on the overall quality of the establishment.
Don't be fooled by appearances: dishonesty knows no bounds, and it can hide even behind older individuals who seem very honest at first glance.
