Highly recommended.

We had our hen party at Double Tree and then spent the night. The service was excellent. Glyn was very attentive and made it a wonderful night for us. The food was excellent. The room was clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Great hotel and amenities

A very enjoyable spa break with a friend. The hotel and spa were great, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everywhere was clean and tidy, room and beds comfortable, found was good. Would definitely stay again x

Nice hotel that we would be happy to use again, hopeful a room where the air con is working correctly (34° over this weekend 😰), reported it both days but......also we won't use the late bar again, slowest bar in the world but ££££££

Hotel is looking tired

Staff are polite and helpful at this hotel and I've stayed many times. It's looking a bit tired and out of the 2 lifts, one was out of service the 4 nights I stayed there and the other lift broke down for a time before being fixed.
The room was a superior room but there was a smell of damp as the upstairs room had either had a leak or the bath had overflowed so the plaster was coming away from the ceiling.
Breakfast was good as usual and as I said before the staff are really good. I think it's time the owners carried out some essential maintenance and got the paint brush out

Expensive poor quality

A tired slightly dirty run down room, leaky shower. The standard and quality you might hope to get in a popular lodge chain. Only a lot more expensive. Requested extra toilet rolls, on two occasions. They couldn't be bothered.
