Perfect location

Very close to coral island so was a perfect location in the extremely hot weather. We was able to nip back to the room and shower and change throughout the day whilst watching the air show. We had a Harry Potter themed room on the very top floor so obviously with it being 32 degrees there was just no air in the room at all. The owner did put a little fan in the room for us but it didn’t really help but the weather cannot be blamed on anyone. Room was clean and comfortable. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Up There With The Best, top marks all the way

Why would I look any where else!!! When the Shanklin fills all my needs, welcoming, clean, quiet along with an awesome location, just a short walk from where Nation Express drops off so no need to take the car (If you do want to take you car well there is ample parking in a paid carpark at the end of the road).
This time we stayed in room 007 which was full of James Bond memorabilia which for sure this is far better than those boring hotel locations.
The room is ensuite, which is always good.
Wow did I sleep good, was it the sea air!!! no it was the comfy bed oh my what a peacefull nights sleep I got, and that was with the window open.
The Shanklin Hotel has amazing hosts who will give you a warm welcome when you arrive, as always I will let them know when I will be arriving, if the time changes, well they will be the first to know, just remember these guys live in the same hotel and probs organise there life around the hotel, I know I would hate to have my dinner disturbed by a guest who turns up 2 hrs later than the time they stated they would be checking in.
Yes as everyone says It is in an awesome location with a short flat walk to Coral Island, bars and food outlets.
Would I stay here again Yes YES Y E S and I have many times.

Lovely hotel! With a view of Blackpool tower

Really enjoyed our stay here Fri-Sun. Welcomed by the owner on arrival who was very friendly and helpful, he could not do enough to ensure you were happy! The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy and smelt so fresh. The hotel was very nice and quiet and perfect for us with 2 children. We had a lovely surprise when we opened the curtains in our room and saw the Blackpool tower lit up looking beautiful. The location is absolutely brilliant and just a quick short walk to coral island, Blackpool tower and the pier etc. There are also shops nearby and a chippy about 1 minute walk away. We will definitely be returning and hope to try out another themed room. This time we tried the Game of Thrones room and loved it!

Location great. Room poor

Hotel is in a convenient location and staff were friendly, however they’re the only positive points that I can make.
The room itself was very cold, the central heating wasn’t working and it was very draughty. It had an oil radiator but this was so small it was ineffective compared to the draught in the room.
The shower didn’t work properly and the adjustable handle was broken. If you were lucky to get any hot water from it then it wouldn’t be for long as it soon turned cold.

Great little gem

Stayed here with my son while we were in Blackpool for his birthday, on arrival the owner was extremely polite and knowledgeable. The room was basic but comfy and had all we needed. Would recommend this hotel for a break in Blackpool as it was quiet and clean
