Do not book
This was a once-in-a-lifetime gig, and their incompetence turned it into a stressful mess. The town was fully booked — obviously — and we had no chance of finding a last-minute replacement. We planned ahead, we paid in good faith, and they pulled the rug out from under us without warning.
If you’re thinking of booking here for any event or important occasion — don’t. It’s not worth the risk of having your plans ruined because they can’t manage their bookings properly or take responsibility when they mess up.
Disgraceful service, zero accountability, and no understanding of the impact they had.

To clarify, this booking was made via a third-party platform, where a system error occurred outside of our direct control. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we contacted the platform to request a resolution. When no action was taken, we then contacted you directly by email to explain the situation and cancel with notice. This was not a same-day cancellation.
We appreciate how difficult it can be to find accommodation during major events and regret the inconvenience this caused. Situations like this are extremely rare, and we always aim to communicate clearly and act professionally when issues arise.
We’re sorry that your weekend was affected and wish you all the best.

One night stay in glamping pod
The glamping pod itself was well set up and had everything you needed, however a couple of broken slats that kept slipping off everytime I got up and behind the bed was filthy.
I can’t comment on the kitchen as I didn’t use it but the facilities would stop me staying again which is a shame as the site is in such a great location.

Disgusting and unhygienic
On arrival in the shipping container type building which serves as the reception area and ‘kitchen,’ we were greeted by a filthy sink and draining area, leaks from under the sink, very dirty fridge and what appeared to be a rodent trap in the corner. There was no way we’d wash anything there.
The camping toilet emptying facility required you to tip your contents into an opening above a plastic tank. The area was covered in faecal matter and stank.
Feeling pretty down, we located our very bumpy pitch ‘decorated’ with two full doggy poo bags and a smashed fire bucket.
We left and found a much nicer, cleaner site for £25 per night- Quex.
We phoned the number we had for the Hawk Park and left a message saying the site was too dirty and ill kept for us to stay and that we would like a refund. Two days later, we were stunned but very pleased that our account had been credited with the £70 but interestingly, there was no communication from the site at all.
In summary, avoid this place.

quiet site near the sea
it’s a quiet site for tents, caravans and motor homes.
negatives are not enough toilets/showers but we managed ok as never seemed busy when we went to them and were clean.
the washing up facilities could be improved, one sink, no hot water just a kettle. if this is improved it will make such a difference.
a dog barks a lot that lives in the stables, sometimes at night. we love dogs though and didn’t mind in the day.
positives are it’s in a lovely area , it’s very quiet and so near to the beach.
we took our bikes and cycled too.
electric pitches.
really quiet at night, no clubhouse which is great. we only heard the odd train at night.
we had a lovely time, would def return as we like this type of camping.
to those that love a different style of camping this place isn’t for you but for those like us that like it quiet and peaceful near the sea this is perfect.
