Great place !!!

Fantastic experience staying at the Bluebell in Belford. We used it as our base to springboard around the area. We rarely leave home without our dog and always look for 'dog friendly' accomadation.
We were very pleased with our choice at staying here. The staff are fab and helpful and has a lovely grounds garden to the hotel in a quaint quiet village. You get a cooked breakie in the morning or whatever you fancy as part of the booking price , which was freshly made and tasty. Served to your table!
Some reviews comment on the dated decor etc we loved it and had no issues whatsoever, we actually found it added a positive to our experience and didnt mind one bit. There is a bar for refreshments and a menu for evening meals. Would we return? Absolutely we WILL.

A place to chill.

Stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel. We were very lucky with fabulous weather and made the most of it as the Blue Bell hotel is a great base to reach all the stunning places in that part of Northumberland. The hotel itself is an historic building, with all the lovely ambience and features. It is beautifully furnished , spotlessly clean, and you feel a great deal of thought has gone into making us, the guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay. We loved the comfy beds, the pristine bed linen and fluffy towels. We loved the great free breakfast menu and attentiveness of the staff even at the most busy times. We loved how quiet it was, no noisy nights to disturb your sleep. We loved the stunning garden and gorgeous terrace, large enough to accommodate plenty of seating and table areas, to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine to chat about your Northumbrian adventurous day, with just birdsong and a vast array of colourful flowers for company. If you're looking for peace and quiet to chill and just be, this is the place or you. So a huge thank you to all the smiley, hard working staff, they made our stay so memorable. We had the best time.

Mandy to the rescue

I just want to thank Mandy at the Blue Bell Hotel, our booking was made by a friend who ended up not traveling with us. An unfortunate error in date of booking and ok, I will admit very frustratingly the hotel had no phone line and I had spent considerable time attempting to call to confirm our booking. Mandy to the rescue ! Firstly not happy with bookings .com as they were difficult to contact and never responded to my contacts. Mandy searched found our booking created rooms for us both in the hotel and offsite, her continued support and efforts meant our stay in Belford became one of our favorite nights of a 4 week cycling holiday. Thanks Mandy for an enjoyable comfortable night.

Very dog friendly

Booked it as it was dog friendly. More like very dog friendly! My room opened on to the courtyard and so evening ablutions were very easily done. Very friendly and helpful staff at all 4 encounters. They put the 3 of us on a large corner table for both dinner and breakfast so the dogs had plenty of space. The dogs were also offered a freshly cooked sausages for breakfast!
The restaurant and amazing views out on to the garden with gorgeous beds viewed through an amazing Georgian window.
Room was large and comfortable and recently updated.

Well worth the money..

Welcoming , Friendly & accommodating. Yes in need of a little renovation required here and there , however the food was excellent , the breakfast was amazing and the fuss made of our large dog was outstanding .
Well worth the money we paid, happy to revisit anytime .
