The staff at the front desk was exceedingly friendly and very helpful; I cannot say enough nice things about them. I also appreciated the ability to do laundry for just 5 pounds a load. Another very useful feature was the ability to call a cab with the push of a button in the lobby.
The rooms were very clean, though a little quirky, such as the large (roughly 9 X 10 feet) bathroom for such a narrow bedroom. Also, although there's a large mirror, it's not above the sink, where it's most useful.
The bed is a little hard to make up because it's fastened to the desk and the wall.
The location is not bad; we were able to walk to several of our points of interest,

You can do better for less money

I booked based on location of an event I was at.
A good bit more expensive than the nearby premier inn. The premier inn wins every time of this place.
Spotlessly clean. Nice rooms. Good bathroom. So lots going for it !
Room size for the money is small. There isn’t really any sort of reception area to speak of.
The main irritation is the doors are traditional manual keys with no additional lock inside the hotel room. So in theory a master key could unlock the door and you can’t stop it. I’m not sure this is great safety.
In summary it’s ok, but you can do better for less.

Disappointing stay and poor value for the price

We booked Bank Square months in advance for its location, but were informed about a month before arrival that the hotel was overbooked and we would be moved to another property. This was disappointing as location was a key reason for our choice.
While they did honor our original rate at the new hotel, we had to extend our stay by one night, which was very expensive.
The room at the second hotel was very small for the price. The cleaning staff were excellent—friendly and efficient—but overall service was inconsistent. Aside from the first check-in staff member, the front desk team lacked hospitality and did not meet expectations for the cost.
The elevator was also out of service for the final three days of our stay, which made departure difficult despite being on the second floor.
We were in Belfast for the Fleadh and plan to return next year but based on this experience, we would not stay at either hotel again. Overall, the value did not match the price paid, especially for the additional night.

Not so cheap and not so cheerful.

When I arrived I was told the lift wasn't working. No notice given! I don't know what they would have done for customers with serious mobility issues. The room was very basic, however there were tea / coffee making facilities, and a decent bathroom / shower.
The room (no. 31) looked unfinished - part of the ceiling was "open" - see photos.
At checkout I wasn't asked how my stay had been, although I must say, the staff were all very friendly.

Great location

Stayed here during the Fleadh festival and the location was perfect. The rooms were clean, spacious and surprisingly good value considering how busy Belfast was. The hotel itself was nice inside and had everything you'd expect.
The only downsides were that the lift wasn't working, which meant a lot of stairs, and there's no parking directly at the hotel. Other than that, we had a great stay and would happily stay again.
