Excellent discovery

Best hotel in Baia Mare. Clean and spacious rooms, very kind staff. The reception is very attentive to customer needs (we arrived very late). The good thing is that it has a private car park and also charging stations for the electric car.

Somehow ok

It is an ok hotel, but there is still room for improvement. Some things, for example the hair dryer in the bathroom is very worn and is attached with insulating tape, it is not ok for the safety of the guest. The bathtub was a kind of jacuzzi and that part was not very well cleaned. I stayed here several times, sometimes it was good and other times less good. The care for the objects in the rooms, the cleanliness and the kindness towards the customer need improvement.

Lot of room to improve

I was there for a couple of nights and I must say I was not thrilled. The room I got was at the ground floor of the hotel, but it was in fact below the street level. The result is that anybody from the street can look down through the window and there is a very uncomfortable feeling of lack of privacy. Otherwise, the room was big and comfortable and nice.
Another problem was the fact that the door frame simply broke when I tried to open it. Do not imagine I am some kind of muscle guy, I am a physicist (yes, think Sheldon Cooper...) and yet, when I tried to open the door, the frame broke at the door lock - which meant the door was not closing properly anymore. I suspect it was already a bit loose and it just broke the first time I opened it. Although the lady at the reception was there and saw very well what happen, the result is that they asked me to pay for the repair - not much, some 20 EUR, but I find this very unfair.
Finally, the breakfast was nothing special, although it was plentiful. What reminded me very much about the old communist times was that I was receiving every morning some breakfast vouchers that I had to give to the waiter.
In short, maybe it works if you cannot find something better, but honestly I will avoid returning there.

Great hotel

+The rooms were amazing, well decorated, modern and very clean, just like in the photos the site provides. Sheets, pillows, towels, all clean as well.
+Very comfortable bed.
+What I liked best was the soundproofing. I think it was the quietest room I've ever stayed in, even if the hotel is near a boulevard. I didn't hear any noise from the other rooms or the hall. Even if there was a wedding in the restaurant one night, I didn't hear any music in the room.
+The bathroom is clean, the shower didn't leak.
+Nice staff, we had a little problem with the access card in our room but the receptionist solved it immediately and politely.
+Nicely styled reception.
-The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast - if you didn't arrive early, the only options left were foods that didn't fit everyone's taste (for example, the ham or eggs weren't refilled). Don't know if this happens at all times, but it was unpleasant during my stay.

A good hotel

I stay at this hotel for a night. This hotel is very clean , the beds are excelent,with an excelent breakfest, a lot of choices. The staff is very frendly You can arrive in 5 min to the old city center.
