Definitely the best in Mamburao
I've read a couple of bad reviews in this hotel, but as for me, when I had my homecoming event last October 2016 and March this year in Mamburao and had to stay in La Gensol, I experienced an amazing service during my stay. The staffs were very relaxed and accommodating.
The rooms were all renovated so basically it looked and felt new. The A/C was working really good. I love the food in the restaurant as well. Their Pancake and Hot Chocolate was my favorite. It was sooooooo tasty! I swear I can eat it all day and I'm definitely getting the same thing for breakfast when I come back.
All in all, La Gensol hotel was great and I had a beautiful stay. It was unforgettable. Definitely the best in Mamburao.

Poor Service
I booked this hotel for my husband's family, hoping they would have a good experience. We settled all charges before check-in, but during check-out, the hotel staff informed us that there was still an outstanding balance. When we asked for details about the charge, the staff could not explain what it was for. In addition, the receptionist was unable to locate the receipt in their records.
The hotel staff also failed to clearly explain important information that guests should know, which led to confusion and frustration during the check-out process. Better communication and proper record-keeping would greatly improve the customer experience.

Poor service
We have stayed here several times and keep hoping for an improvement. But unfortunately we decided this was the last time we will stay here. The place is under renovation which we can understand. But they booked us in a room that the aircon did not work, the water pressure was so weak that it could not run the shower, the hot water heater did not work, among other things. But worst of all, when we asked them to fix the aircon, a guy showed up and claimed we didn't have it on the right setting and said it was working fine, but he didn't change anything, it was still blowing out warm air and treated us like we were stupid. Little does he know we have 5 aircons at home and know much more about controlling them than he does. We complained again and then finally showed up with a portable fan. Didn't offer another room or even apologise. Smiled and left as if we were just saying nonsense. We will never come back here again and warn anyone to avoid this place.

Simple, clean and cheap
The newly renovated bathroom was an eye catcher. Shame they did not put in a hot shower. The rooms are simple but sufficient. Price and quality are in excellent balance here. Comfortable beds and clean sheets. Small balcony since I had a room in the back of the hotel. Friendly staff and a good restaurant downstairs.
Would I go there again? Yes, definitely.

Did not enjoy my stay :(
Office sent my team to Mamburao for work and we stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The rooms are not that bad, but small, enough to accommodate only 2 people per room. You can also smell the odor of paints from rooms, because I believe the hotel was recently renovated.
The rooms has air-conditioning unit, but it has no adjustment and it cools the room whenever it likes.
Also, there was no room cleaning during our stay, no replacement of towels, soaps and shampoos, too, so my roommate and I went to the nearest store to buy these. We did not ask the hotel to clean our rooms, but hotels are usually doing it with or without orders from clients...
The food in the hotel resto are sooooo delicious but the servers are slow and not polite also, they even laugh loud while we are all eating our dinner on our first night.
The hotel also offers wifi connection to guests but the connection is limited most of the time, and you cannot use it inside your room.
