A Practical and Pleasant Stay in the Heart of the City

This was my third stay at iHotel, and once again it was a pleasant experience. This time, I booked a Standard Queen Room, which was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a two-night stay. The room came with a queen-size bed, air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a clothes rack. Essential amenities such as a dental kit, towels, and slippers were also provided.
Bottled water is not included, but there is a convenient water refilling station available on the floor. The bathroom was well-maintained and featured a bidet, hot and cold shower, tissue, hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo.
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, with check-out at 12:00 PM. A security deposit is required upon arrival and is refunded at check-out. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its strategic location—it’s close to restaurants, a mall, banks, schools, offices, and public transportation, making it very convenient for both business and leisure travelers.

Rude Front Desk Staff

If you ever book this hotel, I sincerely hope you don’t have to deal with the front desk staff member named Bren. She was unnecessarily rude and completely unhelpful, as if guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Her attitude made it feel like she would rather not have us there at all. I later noticed on Google Reviews that other guests have reported very similar experiences with her, which suggests this is not an isolated incident.
When I asked for her name, she raised her voice and spelled it out sharply, clearly irritated. It was an unpleasant and unprofessional interaction that reflected poorly on the hotel’s service standards. I’ve experienced warmer, more courteous service at neighborhood sari-sari stores.
Also worth noting: despite the name “Uptown BGC,” the hotel is not actually located inside BGC, which can be misleading for guests unfamiliar with the area.

Your Go-To Hotel in the Heart of BGC!

This was my second stay at iHotel Uptown BGC, and we spent 4 nights this time. The total rate was 5,873.48 PHP for 2 people. Our room, located on the 4th floor, featured two single beds, WiFi, a TV, air conditioning, an electric kettle, toiletries, towels, slippers, a refrigerator, a desk, and a clothes rack. Brewed coffee was available on the ground floor from 6 AM to 9 AM. While bottled water wasn’t provided in the room, there was a water refilling station on our floor. A 1,000 PHP security deposit was required, which was refunded when we checked out.
What I really liked about this hotel was its convenient location near our office, the wide variety of nearby restaurants, and the easy access to public transportation. The shower was also excellent. The only downside was the weak WiFi, and both Smart and Globe data had poor reception during our stay.
Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel, and we had a pleasant stay.

The location is perfect for someone who works within BGC. Very accessible! I'd always come back here.

Interiors:
- Toilet was very cramped and not designed very well as legs can’t be spread properly (I’m 5’10) - Size is comparable to a budget airline seat - legroom and spacing
- Bathroom shower drains very slowly
- Hot water was limited and it stopped halfway my bath
Service:
- You can request for a duvet or fleece blankets for an additional fee(100 php each) and will vary depending on what type of room you have - including their hair dryer
- Remote control battery got weak so we tried requesting for battery replacements - their SOP is to test the remote first which I declined since someone was already sleeping and the person who can provide the battery replacement only reports during the day.
Customer Service - More accomodating and friendly to foreigners vs Locals
Parking - Limited to 8 vehicles so first come first served. You can’t bring your car inside to drop off your bags and would have to walk from the gate entrance to the lobby. Parking attendant could have provided more clear instructions as to where we can park instead of just saying to go straight ahead at the street across the hotel (Parked at Uptown Eastgate Parking). Good thing we checked in at 3am or else we would have a hard time parking there since a lot of party goers who park there.
- was okay. Budget hotel interiors which would make you feel your not in a motel.
- my main concern is how the receiptionists have dual personalities. They are pleasant to foreigners but really hostile and unpleasant with locals. I dont suggest booking this hotel even on my enemies.
