Great little hotel

We stayed at the Hotel Zilt in Vlissingen at the end of June 2025.The small cozy and air-conditioned hotel has 17 rooms that are attractively furnished. It is located directly on the marina, in a street with many restaurants. Breakfast is very good, there is everything you need. We booked the hotel directly again for June 2026.

Interesting experience regarding a situation when the fire alarm is triggered

It is a small, cozy hotel. For the two overnight stays, it was completely sufficient. Breakfast was okay.
What worried me a little bit was the handling of the fire alarm on Sunday morning at 7:30
The staff did not check if all guests were outside, the fire department did not arrive as a precaution either, and after 15 minutes the staff said without explanation that we could go back in.
Perhaps the staff should be better informed in this regard.
Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Beware with Upgrades

We booked a family room for 4. Upon arrival we received an 'upgrade' to the Penthouse Suite. In practice, this turned out to be a 2-person studio where they had opened a sofa bed and wrung a makeshift bed between table and window. The bed had been tried to be placed stably by means of books under the legs but the height difference between the two sides of the bed was as much as 15 cm. There was no room to even close the curtains or open the windows. The bathroom was very clean and tidy, just like the breakfast. However, our overnight stay fell through the cracks, especially for the children who were looking forward to sleeping in the mezzanine.

Very nice inn with a wonderful breakfast. The hotel made the parking process easy for me. I would recommend for single travelers.
