Great hotel –

Great location. In the middle of Dokkum. But still very quiet. Luckily we had requested parking next to the hotel. That was so easy.
Friendly and warm welcome. Beautiful room, spacious and clean. A welcome card, apples, bottle of water, coffee and tea, in short all kinds of attentions.
The bathroom was spacious, and with plenty of towels and delicious products from Marie Stella Maris.
Breakfast was good. It was very hard work for the only employee to provide all guests with breakfast, coffee or tea and an egg dish.
On departure also very nice and warm staff. Bottle of water and mints for the road, again so thoughtful.
We were unable to check in and out online in advance. That in itself was no problem because, fortunately, there are still real people behind the counter.

Wat fijn om te lezen dat je zo hebt genoten van je verblijf in Dokkum en dat je onze attenties, kamer en service hebt gewaardeerd. We doen ons best om het iedere gast zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken, en het is leuk om te horen dat dit bij jou goed is aangekomen.
Het doet ons ook plezier dat onze persoonlijke benadering bij het in- en uitchecken positief is ervaren.

Problem in Wellness Suite with private sauna

Upon check-in we learned that the booked Junior Suite had been changed to the Wellness Suite with private sauna. This was an upgrade. This suite is very nicely decorated with beautiful materials. Then a spacious sauna with separate shower. Furthermore, sinks , shower and bath are located in the same room as the bed area. Still getting used to... But then came our great disappointment: on the ground floor is the restaurant ODE and apparently the suction from the restaurant enters the Wellness Suite via the toilet. On Saturday the suite was full of a strong scampi with look smell. A hotel employee was called in, made the same determination and assured us that the problem would be passed on to the management. All staff at this hotel are extremely friendly but we found it inappropriate and very disappointing that the management has not given any feedback or apology to us. SO : good advice to anyone who would book the Wellness Suite : first inquire whether the fault in exhaust ducts has been solved.

Fantastic: a nice atmospheric hotel with very friendly staff!!

A fantastic stay during two nights at this hotel. Everything was excellent, from the lovely rooms to the wonderful staff who were always willing to help. Also the dinner was delicious (after mudflat walking) and made our stay really special! Welcoming and helpfulness are typical of this hotel.

Very nice hotel. Every detail has been thought of. Very friendly and professional staff. We also had a great meal.
