The best place in Santa Catalina

Coiba house was absolutely exquisite. Brilliant location with a terrace to relax on while looking out at the sea. Within hours all our stresses ebbed away and we were totally immersed in Santa Catalina life. Close to restuarants and shops....plus there is an outdoor kitchen to self cater from.
The host family are fantastic, helpful and non-intrusive.
I can't recommend this accomodation enough! Oh and did I mention hammock...?!!

Place to be in Santa Catalina

Very nice accommodation in a very good location with great views of the sea and sunset.
Direct access to the beach and close to restaurants, cafes and tour operators. The surf beach is about 20 minutes walk.
Very helpful and friendly host, who helped us very much with bookings to the Coiba NP.
Room clean and nicely decorated. Great terrace area.
We will definitely book there again next time.

Beautiful, clean rooms with AC!

Clean well-kept rooms with Air Conditioning. A beautiful sunset view of the pacific from the balcony. The owner Darcy and his family are very friendly and are knowledgeable about the local vendors for dining and recreation. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Santa Catalina.

Perfect location. Excellent host.

Couldn't ask for a better location in Santa Catalina! Close to restaurants, grocery stores and dive/snorkel shops, but in a very quiet location. The beach is just a few steps away down a private (but a bit steep) path. The view from the terrace is spectacular! There are three rooms with a shared bathroom, but the toilet and shower are in different rooms so very easy to share. The terrace is an amazing spot to relax and enjoy the view. We had booked two of the rooms and got along really well with the person in the third room, so sharing the space was not a problem. We also liked sharing the space with some friendly cats.
The rooms had air conditioning and a fan so were comfortable for sleeping (but both were needed because it was HOT). The shower had warm water and great water pressure. The wifi worked well.
Darcy is super friendly and helpful and gave us advice on places to eat and even made a dinner reservation for us. His son, Moises, arranged a fishing trip for us and cleaned the fish that we caught so we could cook it in the kitchen on the beautiful terrace! I highly recommend Coiba House!

Wonderful stay both vacation and remote working

Me and my friend spend 2 nights in a room at Coibahouse and we couldn't be more happy with our stay! Darcy was so helpful giving recommendations for the town, organising contact for hourseback riding and hunting for empanadas. The room and bed was very comfortable, also useful access of fridge and coffee pot. The highlight was the terrace where we spent most of the time in the hammocks which absolutely amazing. I was able to work on remote from the terrace without any problems with WiFi as there was no electricity shortage during our stay, and all is near walking distance in the village.
We were also happy to learn about Darcy's and Helen's engagement for sustainability topics with their foundation, forest plantation and we learnt much from our conversations.
We will definitely be going back!
