I stayed 5 nights with my friend in this perfect little hotel and loved every minute of it!! Our room had everything we needed, was clean and cozy, and was very quiet at night. We spent 3 of our days relaxing in the provided chaise lounges at the beach club. It was nice having that secure area for our beach bags while we swam in the deliciously warm ocean. That was a treat!! We felt very safe walking down into town multiple times every day. The locals are so friendly!! We loved all the little markets selling anything and everything you might want or need.
After our 5 nights together, my friend flew home, while I went to a Pilates retreat at a nearby 5 star resort...Let me just say, Hotel La Quinta del Sol has that place beat in many ways! After the retreat, I returned for one final night of rest and relaxation before flying home to the States. When I walked into the same room that I had a few days earlier, it felt like I was home :) I felt completely safe walking into town by myself and even ran into and chatted with a couple people that I had met the previous week. There is a nice small town feel in Punta Mita.
Nico and Mary are the nicest, most accommodating hosts and gave us several great suggestions for restaurants, activities, and helped with airport and hotel transfers. It was nice not having to worry about those things while on vacation.
Recommendations-
-El Cafecito de Mita for all things coffee breakfast/brunch!!
-La Pescadora for delicious seafood dishes and a gorgeous beachfront setting! We ate there 3 times.
-Ally Cat Sailing Tours for fun tours out to Las Marietas Island National Park!! 6 hours of sun, sailing, swimming, dolphin watching, and endless food and fun!
-No need to go any further than the rooftop for spectacular sunset views!
If I ever make it back to this area of Mexico, I will definitely stay here again!!

My Favorite Hotel!
This is my absolute favorite vacation spot, largely due to the comfort and convenience of this hotel. You can't beat the views! It is walking distance to everything you need. The private beach area is a comfortable place to relax on lounger under an umbrella. The kitchens are equipped with more than you need. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The units are meticulously cleaned. The hosts are attentive. It's a quiet environment, yet fun and friendly. Everything about La Quinta del Sol is top notch!

Great place to stay. Great hosts too!
This was our second stay. We love the relaxed vibe. Other guests were fantastic as are the hosts. You can get everything you need in a simple walk. Groceries, beverages, restaurants are all close. The authentic town is near with street food that is superb. The beach is great for sunning, lounging, swimming, boarding and surfing. The locals are very friendly. We were looking for a shop and were a little lost and one resident told us to get in her car and she drove us there! How great is that! All without speaking Spanish nor her speaking English. Great time all round. Highly recommend Hotel La Quinta del Sol.

10 beautiful days at La Quinta del Sol
Our experience at La Quinta del Sol was beyond expectations.
Our very comfortable room,which felt like a studio given that it had a fully equipped kitchen, was on the top floor ( which I recommend !), with a beautiful view and a lovely sitting area which we used a lot when we were not on the Rooftop. The rooftop is just amazing by its views,size and decor .I had a number of beautiful sunrises with my early morning coffee and I am still thinking about it ! My husband enjoyed grilling at sunset .
Nico and Mary were wonderful hosts and always great communicators .
From the hotel, you can walk ( short walk to waterfront restaurants) safely everywhere into town.
Finally ,Thank you Nico and Mary for all the great recommendations .
We are hoping to return to La Quinta del Sol next year .

Quiet, relaxing, charming getaway!
My family (couple with two teenage girls) loved every moment of our stay at Hotel la Quinta del Sol! The hotel is convenient, charming, and very relaxing with comfortable, well-equipped rooms/kitchens. We were all very comfortable there and loved waking to the sound of birdsong and ocean waves crashing gently on the shore. The beach is right across the street and numerous restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We spent our days swimming in the ocean, relaxing on the terrace balcony, and exploring nearby towns in the evenings. Mary and Nico were very welcoming and helpful. We left refreshed, relaxed, and sun-kissed: a perfect little Mexico getaway! Highly recommend this spot for quiet relaxation and beach access! Thanks so much for creating such a wonderful space for us to explore Mexico and feel so comfortable and relaxed. We all hope to return soon! Peace--Shay, Brian, Chloe and Dahlia
