HLC Wedding

Our wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos was everything we dreamed of and more, and we owe so much of that to our incredible wedding coordinator, Ivette!
Planning a destination wedding from the United States could have been stressful, but from our very first virtual consultation, she made the entire process feel effortless. She was organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and always available to answer our questions and guide us through every decision.
She brought our vision to life flawlessly—from the breathtaking floral arrangements and beautiful ceremony to the seamless cocktail hour and unforgettable reception. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and everything flowed perfectly throughout the day.
What truly set her apart was the level of care and personal attention she gave us. From the moment we arrived in Los Cabos, she welcomed us with open arms. We were greeted with cocktails and surprised with chocolate-covered strawberries, immediately making us feel special and cared for. She even helped us coordinate transportation and organize a night out after the reception so that we could continue celebrating with our family and friends.
Throughout the entire wedding weekend, she was by our side, ensuring every detail was taken care of so we could focus on enjoying the experience. Her communication, professionalism, and genuine kindness made all the difference.
She didn't just plan our wedding—she created a magical experience that exceeded every expectation we had. We are forever grateful for her dedication, hard work, and the love she poured into making our wedding day so special. If you're looking for someone who will truly bring your dream wedding to life, we cannot recommend Ivette Garcia, her team, and the Hilton Los Cabos highly enough.

Dear 16463RRemilyg,
May we first offer our warmest congratulations on your wedding. It was a true privilege to welcome you to Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort for such a meaningful celebration, and we are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with one of the most important days of your lives.
A destination wedding asks a great deal of confidence from a couple, especially when so much of the planning begins from afar. To know that Ivette helped make that process feel effortless from the very first virtual consultation is the kind of recognition that means everything to us. Her organization, responsiveness, kindness, and extraordinary attention to detail reflect the very best of what our wedding team strives to provide.
Our beachfront resort, with the Sea of Cortez as its backdrop, is a remarkable setting for a wedding celebration. But the location alone is never enough. The flowers, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, arrival touches, transportation, and even the celebration that followed all had to feel personal, seamless, and true to your vision. We are overjoyed that Ivette Garcia and her team brought those moments together with such care.
Your words will be shared with Ivette and the entire team, who will be so proud to know that their dedication helped create a wedding experience beyond what you had imagined. Thank you again for allowing Hilton Los Cabos to be part of the beginning of your married life. We wish you both every happiness and look forward to welcoming you back for many anniversaries by the Sea of Cortez.
With warmest regards,

An afternoon to enjoy

Let's start with breakfast at the Talavera restaurant, a super delicious buffet with cochinita tacos and handmade tortillas.
The attention from the restaurant manager and Lewis, the restaurant director, is incredible.
Carlos, in charge of the food and beverage area, was always attentive and ensuring that the experience in the restaurant and pools was good.
The food is spectacular; congratulations to Chef Pier. The churros, the tuna tiradito, the pizzas .
There is no doubt that if you are looking to relax and enjoy a day by the pool, with good food, good service, and a wonderful view, Hilton is a 10/10.
The Serenity pool is ideal for spending an afternoon reading a book, socializing with your partner or friend, and relaxing.

Estimado monip682,

Wonderful few days of sun and relaxation

My husband and I had a wonderful 4-night stay at this hotel, which we booked through Costco - we stayed on the top floor in an Altamar junior suite which included the buffet breakfast, transport to and from the airport and stocked minibar which they refilled everyday. Our room had a large terrace with lounge chairs facing the ocean and this was a very nice feature we really enjoyed. I picked this hotel because I didn't want to have to deal with a time share sales type meeting and I wanted something with a swimmable beach and the reviews were mostly good. I am very happy with the experience:
- our room was really spacious and nice and well kept and we loved the terrace - we sat out there in the morning when we woke up and drank our espressos and also at the end of the day and watched the whales and enjoyed some evening music coming up from the restaurant level one night. It was very relaxing and beautiful.
- the gym is pretty good - I worked out every morning before breakfast and it was a busy vacation week but I didn't wait to use anything except when someone was using free weights I wanted. They have treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, weights, and other machines and stretching area. It was important to me for there to be a nice gym.
- the breakfast buffet was one of my favorite things about the hotel - they have so many options including lots and lots of healthy things - I'm a pretty healthy eater and this was also very important to me. I can't think of anything I wanted that they didn't have there and they make a lot of custom order stuff like egg dishes, etc. It's also open til 11:30 so I ate something small in my room when I woke up (like an apple/snacks I brought from home), then worked out, then ate breakfast @ 10:30 and it was pretty quiet there by that time. They had this incredible freshly baked bread and I sliced that up and made sandwiches to eat later on in the day by the pool and also they had great granola I took with me so I didn't really need any other lunch. I love the music they played at the breakfast and it was very relaxing sitting there looking at the ocean and eating :)
- we ate at two of the other restaurants for dinner and we enjoyed what we got. Yes, It's pretty expensive but that was the only meal I paid for all day and I didn't really eat much anyway. It would have been nice if they had some more inexpensive boxed salads or something at the hotel but I didn't see anything like that. The most casual restaurant has a beautiful view terrace and we liked to sit out there and get happy hour and eat dinner on the early side. The fancier italian restaurant on the pool level was very good as well and my husband got some fish dish that he liked a lot. He said the fish tacos he had at happy hour in the more casual restaurant were the best he every had.
- the service at the hotel is very good. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.
- I loved the hot tub near the adult pool on the whale watching deck - it's not too hot and I enjoyed sitting there and talking to other hotel guests and watching the whales.
- My husband and I both got spa treatments one afternoon and we liked the spa a lot. I wish I had gone there early and sat in the steam room before my facial - I didn't want to mess up my facial after the fact. So if you are getting a facial, go early so you can use the sauna and steam room and hot tub. My facial was excellent.
- the pool area/grounds are very nice - it wasn't that hard to find chairs in the shade at the pool when we wanted them but people do seem to go early and grab the best ones. not all chairs have umbrellas next to them.
In terms of value, I was comparing the cost of this trip with what we would have paid to go to hawaii - we usually like to go to Maui and have stayed there many times. I priced out the hotels and air fare there for the places we like in Wailea and it was ridiculously expensive. If we had stayed at the fairmont kea lani, for example, we would have paid @ $1300/night including tax and not gotten any free meals and no free transportation from the airport. And our room wouldn't have been nearly as nice - wouldn't have had a view or a terrace at that price. However, I like the beach in wailea a lot more and that walkable location is good. We paid a lot less going to cabo and staying at the hilton. However, it was not an inexpensive trip at all - just in comparison to what we like in hawaii, it was a better value. I know there are a lot of all inclusive resorts in Cabo to choose from and I've heard great things about many of them. The people I met at the Hilton who stayed in other all inclusive resorts told me they didn't think there were quite as nice and the food wasn't quite as good. If you don't care about having a very nice room on a high floor with a gorgeous view terrace and wonderful free breakfast, then you can probably get a better value elsewhere. I don't think all the rooms come with the free buffet, but the altamar rooms do.
A couple things we didn't like that much:
- We don't think these hotels should be calling themselves golf resorts - there is golf nearby but not owned by the hotel and you have to pay for your transportation to get there. My husband got cabs and had a not so great experience at the one closest to the hotel. Golfing there is really expensive and just so/so in terms of quality of the courses.
- I liked that there is a swimmable beach and I read that the sand isn't great for walking on so I brought my teeva's but this sand is pebbly - and it wasn't great walking down there with any open type of shoe so i went to check out the area but didn't end of staying down there - also most of the chairs at the beach were taken. it was easier to find shady chairs by the pool. I think there are hotels closer to the marina that have better beaches that are swimmable if you care a lot about that.
Just a note in general about the airport - when you get off the plane and are walking to the transportation to take you to your hotel, do not make eye contact or talk to any of the people hanging out outside the baggage area - they are so aggressive and annoying trying to get you to go to a time share talk or whatever they are trying to sell you. They act like they are guiding you to the transportation but it's all B.S. and they will just waste your time. If you want to get some offers for free golf or excursions in exchange for sitting through a time share sales pitch, then you may want to talk to them but we definitely did not so these people were really annoying to us. We met so many people at the hilton with time shares and they are enjoying them but said they wished they hadn't gotten them and they are a pain to manage. One vacationer I met said he got a great deal using someone else's time share week at the hotel where we were staying so if you want to look for a deal, then look to buy someone else's time share week. You won't get as nice of a room as the altamar suites most likely but you will save a lot of money.

Dear LauraRachel.
Thank you for such a comprehensive and thoughtful reflection of your stay. We are delighted to know that your time with us was defined by relaxation and meaningful moments, from mornings on your terrace overlooking the ocean to whale sightings at sunset. It is especially rewarding to hear that your Altamar suite, the stocked minibar, airport transportation, and the breakfast experience contributed positively to the overall value of your visit.
We are pleased that our fitness center, spa, and dining venues met your expectations. Providing a well-rounded experience, where guests can partake in wellness, culinary enjoyment, and leisure, is central to what we offer. Your comments regarding the terrace views, breakfast ambiance, and attentive service from our team truly affirm the care we put into each detail.
We also appreciate your observations regarding the beach terrain, chair availability, and nearby golf access. While we are fortunate to offer one of the few swimmable beaches in the area, natural conditions can vary, and we understand how personal preferences shape the experience. Your feedback regarding seating and amenities is valued as we continually evaluate guest comfort and clarity in how we present our offerings.
It was our pleasure to host you for these days of sun and renewal. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay in Los Cabos.

Wonderful Staff and hotel

Our trip was wonderful! We have been staying at this hotel for 20 years and this trip topped them all! We had the Altamar suites .. just beautiful. Our butler Carlos was amazing! He catered to us the entire 4 days and was always there. Anything we needed he was there checking on us from morning until evening. His attention detail is what made our trip such a wonderful experience. The entire staff is so attentive. We never had any issue and the trip was so smooth because of the staff’s impeccable attention to detail. We will definitely book Hilton Los Cabos yet again for January 2027!

Dear amymT3184HC,
What a pleasure to read that, after 20 years of choosing Hilton Los Cabos, this visit was your finest yet. That kind of loyalty is deeply valued, and your words are a beautiful reflection of the lasting connection we hope guests feel with the resort.
We are especially delighted that your Altamar suite experience felt so memorable. Carlos will be very proud to know that his attentive care, thoughtful presence, and attention to detail shaped your four days so meaningfully. The best hospitality often lives in those unexpected, well-timed gestures, and it is wonderful to know he was there for you from morning through evening.
Your compliments for the entire team are equally appreciated. To know that their attentiveness made the stay feel polished and effortless is exactly the kind of experience we want to create.
Thank you for continuing to make Hilton Los Cabos part of your travels. We look forward to welcoming you back in January 2027 for another exceptional stay.
Warmest regards and safe travels,

Beautiful views, poor hospitality

Currently staying here and wish we had switched resorts earlier in our trip. It is an okay resort with beautiful views and the property is kept up, but the service feels less like a resort and more like a Hilton Garden Inn.
We booked an Altamar room but the “VIP check in” was awful. No welcome drink, not even the popsicle they give to everyone, and no walkthrough of the property map. When I asked for an upgrade based on my Gold status they said they didn’t have anything in the next category but that I could pay for one. I asked if they would allow us to have breakfast that morning at the buffet since we checked in early, but they also refused to give us vouchers for that.
There is also no longer a daily happy hour included with Altamar, so it’s basically the minibar (which they will not customize for you) and the buffet (which is very good but they still charge $12 for every morning).
I asked for bubble bath for the bathtub and was told no problem one day, but it never showed up. I asked again the next day and they said they didn’t have it. With a soaking tub in every room this seems like a huge miss.
The only time someone started talking to us about the map of the property and activities we could do ended up being one of their timeshare salespeople.
The rooms are fine but they need blackout curtains. Oceanview room? Get ready to wake up at 5:30 every day. The AC wouldn’t go below 71 in our room either (something else I asked about but as far as I can tell never got fixed.
Overall it’s a fine place to spend a few days, but between how expensive food and drinks are here and the Ubers into town, you aren’t saving anything vs all inclusive rates, I am sure you’ll get better service there.

Dear 88reneeg,
Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your stay. We are pleased that the beauty of the views, the care of the property, and the quality of the buffet were memorable aspects of your experience. Hilton Los Cabos is fortunate to be surrounded by a remarkable stretch of Baja coastline, and those ocean views are among the moments we most hope guests enjoy.
It is truly disappointing that there were service details that did not feel as gracious or attentive as we wished for you. The arrival and orientation are very influential in creating the perception of the entire visit. We take this very seriously, and as such, your comments will be reviewed with our Front Office, Altamar, Rooms and Guest Experience teams.
Your observations are incredibly useful, as we pride ourselves on providing consistent and polished experiences, from arrival courtesies to the way resort inclusions, amenities and services are presented.
Thank you again for recognizing the beauty of the resort while also notifying us of the lapses in service that affected your stay.
We hope the remainder of your visit allows you to enjoy more of the oceanfront setting, thoughtful hospitality, and the relaxed Los Cabos experience for which we are known and revered.
Warm regards,
Antonio Bugarin, General Manager
