Comfortable stay with great location

Stayed one night at Villa St. Sofija Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent, close to everything, and the atmosphere is charming. Rooms were clean and comfortable, though a few small details could be improved. Solid 4/5 stay.

Do not recommend

This is at best an inn, not a hotel. There were spiders in the bathroom for my entire stay and iffy hot water. The room was bare and tired.
Like others mentioned, there is no reception at all and it is eerily quiet. If you need any help, the owner sends her pre-teen children.
Lastly, the owner writes you nasty messages instead of asking for constructive feedback

Pay 4 stars, get barely 3.

You pay for a 4 stars and you get barely 3. Apart the location, which is great, the experience is very poor. Bathroom: worst we've ever had. No pegs for towels, no place to put bath stuff on, the shower has plastic curtains of the cheapest Turkish-made kind. The rooms are big and full of absurd transformings, so that you hear perfectly well what's being discussed in the neighboring room. In the corners pieces of floorings fall apart, hiding bits of old plumbery. Can't understand how does it have 10 on booking.

Best hotel in Ohrid!

Little gem hidden in the Ohrid old town, rooms are very clean and spacious, helpful staff, hotel is located on 5 minutes from all interesting things to visit in old town, parking was a bit challenging but they find me a great space near the hotel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and excellent location

The rooms were spacious and had a beautiful view of Lake Ohrid and the St. Sofija Church. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service, offering us complimentary drinks every time we returned to our rooms and providing a bountiful made-to-order breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended, great value.
