Good days in Luang Prabang

A wonderful place, quiet and relaxing. The room was clean and perfect. The owners 3 sisters and their older mother are wonderful hosts! It is in a side street with no cars, but in the middle of the city, 150 m away from the night market, and 50 m away from the Mekong river.

Treat yourself while in Luang Prabang

Fantastic GH. Super clean, soft comfortable bed, clean linen, soft pillows, large bathroom with shelves to put stuff, toilet doesn’t get wet from shower. Really quiet at night. Secure. We were able to keep our bikes behind the fate at night. Common area with fridge, microwave, tea and coffee. Delicious breakfast included.
We spent three nights here treating ourselves to some nicer accommodation. It was only 30,000kip more per night than the cheap/basic guesthouse we stayed in prior too. Friendly, helpful, excellent English. Sad to leave.

Quiet and welcoming Guest House

The sisters and mother who operate the guesthouse were very welcoming and helpful. They speak English. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean and comfortable. AC and hot water work well. The location is on an alley one block from the Mekong River and the morning and night markets. It is very convenient and just a 5-10 minute walk to resturants. Highly recommend.

Decent for a couple nights

Perfect location, within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit (2 mins walk to the morning and night markets, 5 mins to Phu Si, etc).
The room was tiny, sheets and towels stained (we slept in our sleeping bag liners and used our own towels). Wifi worked great, except got none in the room; bathroom sink didn't drain at all so we had to use shower for everything (brushing teeth, hand washing, etc) and shower drain took hours to drain after a quick shower. Our room was a non-smoking room however many guests gathered on the balcony outside our windows to drink and smoke until early morning hours our first night and the smoke kept coming in through the closed windows- thankfully didn't happen again.
Two of the staff were nice but kept telling us to speak with someone else (even when trying to pay), the other staff (man who sits on couch at entrance) was very friendly, helpful and professional ( which improved our stay at least! :)
All in all, it's a super cheap place to stay, you get what you pay for, but there are nicer accommodations for the same price so probably wouldn't stay here again.

Friendly and comfortable guesthouse

This is a great guesthouse - very friendly staff, nice room with private bathroom and hot shower, lovely wooden balconies upstairs. It's in an excellent location, 30 seconds walk to the Mekong and 5 mins to the night market. Highly recommended, would stay here again.
