top naturalistic experience

The base building is the hunting lodge of King George V, which now serves as a restaurant. Around, immersed in the mountain forest of Mount Kenya (we are 200 meters high), chalets for every taste and leisure facilities, including a small pool. I would judge it for lovers of wilderness, who patiently enter the forest as birdwatchers or in search of mammals from leopard to elephant, present but elusive as their nature would dictate everywhere. Many small and medium waterfalls in the surroundings reachable by routes from quarter of an hour to 3-4 hours. Adequate restaurant with excellent choice of beers.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Great accommodation and food, roaring log fires in the room and some superb birding in the forest with Hudson. The staff are all really cheerful and brilliant. A special shout out goes to Joyce, who holds everything together! James

Sam very friendly and good cooking
Huge house for the 3 of us ,one bedroom for each
a bit hot at the beginning don't forget to draw
