Well located hotel in the Umeda/Osaka station area. The rooms are very clean and not so small (by Japanese standards). The staff was kind and helpful, speaking good English too. Nothing particularly exciting about the hotel but it is a perfect place to drop your luggage and go explore the city.

Disappointing stay due to cleanliness, noise and an unusable refrigerator

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room itself fell well below my expectations.
The biggest issue was the refrigerator. It had an extremely strong, foul odour that smelled like rotten garlic. Every time I opened the fridge, the smell immediately spread throughout the entire room. It was so unpleasant that I couldn't use the refrigerator at all, which meant I couldn't store any food or breakfast during my stay. A clean, usable refrigerator is a basic amenity that every hotel room should provide, and this one clearly hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained.
The room itself also appeared poorly maintained. The walls had visible stains and marks that made the room feel dirty and unhygienic.
Another problem was the noise. Trains could be heard clearly from outside, including late into the evening, making it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. If you're a light sleeper, this is definitely something to consider before booking.
I reported these issues to the hotel during my stay. While they offered to move me to another room, this was only after I had already unpacked and settled in late at night, making it impractical to move.
Overall, I expected much better from an ibis Budget property. Basic cleanliness, functional room facilities, and a comfortable environment are reasonable expectations for any hotel. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those standards, and I hope management takes these issues seriously to improve future guests' stays.

Excellent breakfast and location is very convenient. It's my second time staying here. First time was in 2024 and now 2026.

Practicality and comfort.

Hotel close to many restaurants, convenience shops and cafes. Metro station is 80 metres from the hotel, which helped get to Osaka Central Station. Comfortable room. Very good service. I found a Brazilian receptionist, which helped in the communication, but the other receptionists spoke English.

This a cheap hotel but it's orderly and there are no wholes in the furniture but the room is gross. the toolset bidet is gross . the dust is so thick. the carpet is scary and I saw a roach. however the bed sheets were clean I check and the tiny towel I had for the 3 night was clean. if I didn't pay for all the nights up front I would have left.
