Better than expected

Only booked here for one night as was leaving early in morning and only needed a place to leave my bag and to sleep. Was very clean and comfortable and easy to find nd being so close to the station made it much easier to leave the next day

Highly do not recommend.

First of all - this hotel is revolting to say the least.
Second of all - the room was not clean at all and we were told that it would not be cleaned better because it is a “one star not a five star hotel”.
We are appalled by this stay and only stayed because we could not get a refund for a better place go say.
Be AWARE - economy rooms = in the basement and are absolutely disgusting. It is basically in the street and you can hear every single thing on the street. It was stuffy and smelt like mold.
Please do your research!!

Balcony down to the patio.

A great base to stay. Clean, if small rooms. We had a triple which was a good choice as it was a little bigger than others. Our room opened onto the patio, which was great. A bonus to have 24 hour desk service as our plane was delayed and we arrived later than expected. Just around the corner from a number of restaurants, and there was a local tram service which meant the Terminii wasn't so far on foot. Well located for the metro, bus and tram. The towels were a bit thin, but they were changed 3 times during the week. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but especially Ian, who could answer any questions. The only complaint would be the breakfast. Very little choice, but the supermarket just down the street had plenty of fresh food which we were allowed to keepin the fridge. Great value for money and I'd go again. Thanks to all for making it a pleasant stay.

3.5 stars

We picked this hotel based on its location and price so we knew what we were getting which is why I give it a 3.5 rating. Basically I think we got the worst room otherwise I would award more stars. We were in room 13 which sticks out into the lobby, avoid it if you can. It was very basic and small, not enough space for two suitcases and the bathroom door won't open all the way because of the bed (see photo). It also smelt of stale smoke for the first day before it drifted out of the small blacked out window, of which there is only one. Seemed newly painted but didn't look great. No fridge or tea/coffee in room either. On the plus side the bathroom was pretty good, new, with a decent shower and the AC worked a treat.
Being so close to reception meant you could hear the female receptionist on the phone the whole morning on the days she worked. The young man and older man were delightful though, very kind, friendly and helpful.
Patio out the back was pleasant enough and there was a coffee machine upstairs in the corridor which sold decent coffee for 65/70 cents a go.
If you walk there from Termini take Via Napoleone/Piazza Vittorio Emanuele not Via Giovanni Giolitti as it has smoother pavements for suitcases and no homeless people.
It is very close to Manzoni metro station for easy transport around Rome and there are also buses from there to get to places, we took the no.3 bus to Trastevere a few times. It's much closer than going all the way to Termini.
I also highly recommend 320 Gradi around the corner for a fantastic meal on your doorstep. The carbonara was amazing and the owner was very friendly, "no good, no pay"!
