Very Comfortable Stay!
The Claremont House was our first B&B experience on the road, having driven up from Shannon Airport and beginning our 2-week long visit to West and Northern Ireland. Anna warmly greeted us on our arrival at her immaculate warm and cozy home. Our bedroom was lovely and the bathroom had all the essentials for our 2-night stay. We slept like on logs on a great bed with crisp, soft sheets. Anna’s suggestion of a local restaurant (Capone’s) was perfect for dinner and pints. Breakfast was delicious wonderful, with a full Irish breakfast or eggs to order, fresh OJ, French-pressed coffee, and homemade breads. Anna was a delightful hostess who made us feel very welcome, and we loved our stay at The Claremont House. We hope to be back.

Salthill Recommendation
We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Claremont House. The location is great—very close to the Salthill Promenade. Our two rooms were spotless and the beds were lovely with wonderful pillows and comforter. Breakfast was delicious. Anna was a wonderful and energetic hostess with good suggestions. We highly recommend!

Great Base to Explore Galway County
Our stay at Claremount House was wonderful. Anna is very sweet and serves a lovely breakfast complete with local knowledge and good advice. It was a great base from which to explore Connemara and the Aran Islands and to listen to trad music at pubs in central Galway. The location is nice, right at the end of the Salthill Promenade, and very nice trail along the waterfront. We would book here again. Thanks, Anna!

Great breakfasts and clean property!
Really enjoyed our short stay with Anna. The bed was super comfy, bathroom clean and tidy! The breakfast was AMAZING. I did simple scrambled eggs and they were almost as good as Mom’s. My friend had a full Irish breakfast-yummy. Anna gave us homemade bread and scones to enjoy later in the day. Short 20 minute walk to shops in Salt Hill.
Also convenience store next to the B&B. Highly recommend! Anna was a great host.

Average at best
Good and not so good points
The house and bedrooms were very cold when we arrived and when we asked for the heat to be turned on, Anna said she would put the heat on at 6pm but not before then so during the day it was uncomfortably cold.
There’s no coffee facilities in the room and breakfast stops at 9am so no hope of a ly in, usually it’s served until 10.30 or 11am.
The bed was very comfortable and had a lovely cosy duvet. It was dark and quiet.
Nice breakfast with a stunning view of the bay.
Overall, for the price it’s pretty basic and unremarkable. I wouldn’t return in a hurry, especially in winter when it’s so cold.

Hi . I have responded to your review on Booking.Com. From the time you arrived 3 hours early at 1 pm when it states check in is 4pm you were not very happy as you wanted to cancel 2 days before arrival and stay at the hotel were the conference was been held that you were attending . You asked for the heating to be put on at 1 pm when your check in time is 4pm. The heating is on from 4 pm and you were told this.
You came down for breakfast at 8 30am and left the table at 10 20am.
I have given a description of all that is on offer at the Claremount House in my response to your review on Booking. Com. You order was poached egg and spinach which was served hot to you and then you complain on your review that it was cold. It took you almost 2 hours to finish breakfast. You did eat everything.

Our room price is based on 2 persons sharing and you booked for 1 person.
