Decent hostel but I wished breakfast was available

I had stayed at this hostel for 2 days from Sept. 28-30/25, straight from the Dublin airport very early in the morning after spending hours in the airport.
When I arrived early the reception allowed me to go to the common area which I ended up sleeping for the morning and when I checked in the lady that I was talking to we chatted about her being a Canadian from eastern Canada and that she moved to Dublin during COVID then went back for a bit then came back permanently, the hostel itself was a bit of a maze, I saw signs to get to the common area but at a point it was confusing to get to where it was, even going to my room it was quite the walk.
My room was a 20 bed dorm room with a large bathroom that had 2 toilet stalls and 2 showers, the room was fairly clean which they cleaned daily and the hallways were cleaned also.
There were laundry machines which you had to get coins at reception and use them to do your laundry, I had to do a load by the time I came here, the cost was 3.50 Euros for a wash and 3.50 Euros for a dry.
The common area was quite big and had many long tables, a double seated couch (I slept on this couch in the morning) a kitchen area with a coffee machine and other things where you can cook food. Sadly this place didn’t provide any continental breakfast or provided a breakfast for a cost so that was the down side, they did have wifi for everyone.
The hostel is conveniently located near St. Stephens Green and the little museum of Dublin it’s also very close to the Hop-On, Hop-Off buses.
I may stay here again but also I may not just because they don’t provide breakfast and that is one of several big factors on if I come back, overall the employee’s were very nice, they had laundry so those were a good reason.
At the end of the day I would recommend this place even if I don’t come back in the future.

3.5 of 5 for it being a maze of hallways to get to my room and to the common area
2.5 of 5 for not having continental breakfast which they could add
4 of 5 overall for a decent place

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

The price we paid for the hostel did not match the quality. We paid around €140 per night and did not get value for money. The room was untidy, had a strange smell, was noisy and dusty, and the bathroom floor was damaged. The bathtub was also unclean. I would pay no more than €40 per night for a hostel of this standard.

The room was clean. I was not happy that they were charging for the use of towels and shower gel after we paid the price for a private room.

The room was too stuffy. It's a shared room sure. But there must have been somehow they could have managed the ventilation better

They must book a private room with an accompanying adult. Booking a shared dorm as a minor will result in a cancelation fee. Fines & penalties: Any damages to the property will result in a fine of up to €200.00. Tampering with fire equipment will result in immediate expulsion and repair fees. Smoking on site will incur an additional €150 charge. Other details: Towels are not included in the rate; available to rent for €3 each. Alcohol consumption is not permitted anywhere on the property. Reception is open 24 hours. Management reserves the right to refuse entry. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property is located in a busy area so guests might experience some noise. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A damage deposit of € 200 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
