Stay for a day or two!!

This is one of the go to hotel if you are about to stay in kalka for a day or two.This hotel will provide you with a comfortable stay and has bus stop and railway station not very far from its location so it is preferable.The rooms are clean and the hygeine is properly maintained.

GATE WAY TO KALAK SHIMAL TRAIN STATION - ORDINARY HOTEL

When you are travelling to Shimla by Kalka Shimal Shivalik Delux train which depart form Kalka station early morning one can stay for a night at Kalka and in the morning can catch the train easily.
Anant is budget hotel on station road. just for one night stay it is ok but if you are with family I would suggest you to review few more hotels too. Some are even nearer to station. Rooms are okay not so special not so poor. There is no lift so if your room is on first or second floor, you have to take all your luggage there. We found hotel manager not so cooperative. He was insisting us to take dinner at the restaurant just opposite to the hotel and since w did not take dinner there, he behaved very unprofessionally. There is no facility like tea, milk or any other food item at hotel.

For an overnight stay ...

It is basically a lodge with very basic amenities at a walking distance from the Kalka station. It is better to take an auto to reach the hotel if you have luggage. There is a dhaba just opposite to it where you can have your meals. Ideal for a stay overnight. Good for the travellers going to catch the Kalka - Shimla train.

Average

The hotel is fine when you have to board toy train next morning. We reached from delhi at around 10. For dinner there are some dhabas nearby. Food was nice.You wont get dinner at the hotel.
Overall a nice experience

Combination of Hotel and Dhaba

We stayed in this hotel just for a night to move Shimla early morning on 1st week of February. I must give them 3 for their location otherwise it's a pathetic combination of hotel/dhaba/motel. Room, service, food, cleanness, staff etc. should not be considered for reviews till they concentrate on those aspects. Ac, Non Ac all are same. Just go there to stay for a single night to catch the train.
