Best Budget Stay Near Charing Cross – Clean, Kid-Friendly & Very Convenient
I stayed at B&N Tourist Home Stay in Ooty (near Charing Cross) and this is my short review.
This is one of the cheapest and best places to stay in the center of the city. The rooms, beds, and toilets were very clean, and 24×7 hot water is available. The hotel also provides a kettle in the room, so 24×7 hot drinking water is available anytime. It is also kid-friendly, so families can stay comfortably.
The location is very convenient. The nearest bus stop is just a few steps away, and taxis are always available in front of the hotel. Medical pharmacies are on both sides, and many veg and non-veg restaurants are nearby. Pure veg restaurants are also available very close to the hotel. Because of this location and the nearby bus stop, I was able to travel to almost all the famous places in Ooty by bus at a very low cost.
A special mention to Mr. Shahid, who takes care of room service. He is always ready to help and can provide tea, coffee, and snacks anytime if you just ask. The owner is also very helpful and cooperative.
I came here after seeing the Google ratings, and I can say there is no problem at all. Only one small improvement needed is Wi-Fi — it works well in the public area but becomes weak inside the room when the door is closed. However, Airtel and Jio mobile networks work properly inside the room.
Overall, a very clean, budget-friendly, and comfortable stay in the heart of Ooty. Recommended

Very Near And Clean Hotel
Few days back on Pongal day, i stayed here in a quadruple room with my family. Price is ok, for the prime location and long holiday season. Very near to all places and hotel is clean and tidy. Very good eateries are available nearby. Beds are comfortable. Hot water is available all day is an advantage for winter season. Parking for cars no problem and can accommodate 5or 6 vehicles. Lift is not available is the only concern for elders. Nice management. Will recommend to my friends.

Very pleasant
Location is very good. Just infront of the Chaing Cross Bus Sop. The room is neat though a bit small. Wash room maintained well. Hot water available 24x7. Good vegetarian hotels availablr nearby. They arrange Mini bus for local sight seeing who pick you up and drop you back.

Great Value for Money
Was good to stay there with all basic needs satisfied. Very friendly staff members. Good for couples,friends and the family rooms they have for families are awesome. Nice stay. Parking space is good. All necessary shops around.
