This is a beautiful property tucked away amidst the forest, making it a perfect place to disconnect from the city’s hustle and immerse yourself in nature. The greenery all around, the sound of flowing water, and the peaceful ambience make it a very relaxing getaway.
The biggest highlight of this property is undoubtedly the staff. Every single member of the team is incredibly warm, courteous, and helpful. Their hospitality truly stands out and makes your stay pleasant.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are well designed and maintained. The view from our room was beautiful, overlooking the lush greenery, making every morning a delight.
The food is also good, with a decent variety of Indian dishes. While they do not serve Chinese cuisine or tandoor items like naan and kebabs, whatever they offer is fresh and tasty. The property also has a few recreational activities to keep guests occupied during the day.
That said, there are a few important things prospective guests should know before booking.
The biggest challenge is accessibility. You cannot drive your own vehicle to the property. Guests have to park their cars at a designated parking area about 3 km away, which takes roughly 30 minutes to reach because the road is completely off-road. From there, the resort arranges a jeep transfer.
While this adds to the adventure, it also means you need to plan every outing carefully. If you’ve left something in your car or decide to step out, you can’t simply leave whenever you want. You need to inform the resort at least 30 to 40 minutes in advance so they can arrange the jeep. The same applies when you’re returning to the resort from the parking area. If you forget to call ahead, you may end up waiting for the next jeep.
Another important point is that the jeep service is available only until around 5:00 p.m. This means you need to reach the parking area by then in order to get back to the property. We had booked through Booking.com and had even spoken to the property before arriving, but this information was never shared with us. Knowing this beforehand would have helped us plan our itinerary much better.
The property itself is meant for complete relaxation rather than entertainment. Once it gets dark, around 5:30 p.m., there isn’t much to do outdoors because of the forest surroundings, insects, and limited activities. There is no television in the rooms either. Thankfully, the Wi-Fi is excellent, so if you have your laptop, tablet, or other devices, you’ll stay connected without any issues.
Another thoughtful feature is the availability of an EV charging point at the parking area. However, since the parking is about 30 minutes away from the resort by jeep, you can’t simply plug in your car and check on it whenever you want. It requires some planning, just like everything else related to transportation.
Overall, this is a wonderful property if your idea of a vacation is to disconnect, enjoy nature, relax, read a book, spend quality time with family, and simply unwind without stepping out. If, however, you like exploring nearby attractions, moving around freely, or prefer a resort with plenty of activities and easy accessibility, these limitations are worth considering before you book.

Beautiful experience
We had a lovely stay at CGH Wild Wayanad. We were here to celebrate our daughter’s 4th birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable birthdays for her.
The property is beautiful, peaceful, and right in the middle of nature. The food was fresh and tasty, the rooms were very comfortable, and the staff were warm and always ready to help.
The biggest highlight was the team of naturalists. They were excellent and made every walk so interesting. Our 4-year-old got to see snakes, so many different birds, butterflies, and learnt so much about the forest. Watching her excitement made the trip even more special.
If you’re looking for a quiet break away from the city and want your kids to experience nature up close, this place is absolutely worth it. We’d be happy to come back again.

Great place for adventure
Great resort in the forest ! Access is through a 3. km jeep ride through dirt tracks and shakes all your bones. The resort has rooms spread all over the property and you access even the restaurant with a buggy ! There is hardly any level ground and it is a struggle for senior citizens like us.
In short, go there if you are below 40 ! Or keep off.

Property is nice but staff management need to learn guest relationships seriously
Hotel reception staff were very arrogant. They dont know the value of customers relationships & service. Any request they just ignore & gives not satisfactory reasons!!
