Unforgettable and Beautiful experience
We had an amazing 2 night stay here in the month of June. I have no words to describe the beauty of this place. The view from the property is so good that you can keep starting all day long. We also had the fortune of spotting Bison multiple times as they used to visit the swimming pool to drink water.Food was also homely and very yummy.It would be great if in between snack items are added with extra cost. Special thanks to the Host Miss Shiny and the entire staff (Subhesh) who are very friendly and made sure all guests are comfortable. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will to come back again soon. Please note this place is secluded and there are no sightseeing options which proved to be a blessings in disguise for us as it gave us time to reconnect within ourselves and nature

A Beautifully Curated Escape into Nature
My partner and I spent a weekend at CGH Earth Isla’s Ridge, which was one of the loveliest short holidays I have had in a while. The primary beauty of the guest house lies in the fact that it is not a typical luxury hotel, even though it offers all the homely luxuries you could ask for. The architecture is simple, elegant, manoeuvrable, and extremely tasteful, with nothing overdone, yet it bears the unique, individual touch of the world-travelled Isla Van Damme, the creator of the space. Everyone involved in running this special house was completely dedicated to making our stay not just comfortable but also highly engaging and immersive. From Ms Shiny, the manager, to Mr Subeesh, the one-man army of an assistant, everyone was always there to help make our stay memorable. The property’s location is a huge attraction—sort of in the middle of nowhere, beautifully situated on a forested cliff with stunning views of the valley below. I must warn that this is not a place for activity enthusiasts; it is a place for those who want to truly relax and reflect in the company of abundant nature. There is a plethora of birds, and you hear dozens of birdcalls throughout the day; you should also be able to spot the giant grizzled squirrel and a variety of large butterflies. (If you’re lucky, which you likely will be, you can see some gaurs or Indian bison from very close range, as they come to drink water from the pool. They are wild, but mostly gentle, as long as you do not approach them.) We did not take a day trip to Kodaikanal (50 km away) since we wanted to relax, but a short trip to a nearby coffee plantation was most educational. Apart from that, you must take a tour of the Isla’s Ridge property itself, a 16-acre wooded area replete with gorgeous flowering plants and fruit trees, shared not only by wildlife but also by a couple of ponies, some cows, chickens, and ducks! The food was also excellent—all home-cooked with local ingredients. Ms Shiny took care to note our dietary preferences beforehand and provided us with delicious, healthful meals three times a day—all under the open sky with a view of the valley! Since there are only five rooms at the property, it never feels ‘crowded’ even when all the rooms are occupied (like over a weekend); in fact, it was great to interact with all the other guests. In short, if you’re looking for solitude and distance from hectic urban life, Isla’s Ridge is a perfect destination.

Great expereince
Islas ridge is a very curated place and a unique experience of tranquility. The location and views are splendid. Food is simple, natural and very authentic. The rooms are very good and balconies are enchanting. The library keeps you engaged and reading here is different experience.
The staff and Manager are very courteous and friendly but great in service. You feel as if life has stopped at those moments and rejuvenates you in & out. Thanks to Isla for joining for breakfast and to the manager and staff for making it great experience.
Wish to visit again.

Tranquility with a view and wonderful service
If you are looking for a stunning view, peace and quiet and wonderful, friendly attention, look no further than Isla’s Ridge. We spent two days here enjoying the beautiful surroundings filled with birdsong and nothing else. The small team of Shyni, the manager, Ramdaswas the chef and Vignesh worked so well together, making sure their guests were comfortable and had every need fulfilled, but not intruding in any way. There are only five rooms so even at capacity the property retains its peaceful air. If you need to get away from your phone and the hassles of everyday life, or you’re travelling and need a rest from sightseeing, then this is the place for you. A really outstanding stay.
