Last Minute booking in the property for a night

We stayed for a night in this property. Rooms were good and airy, and the guest house is located in a residential area just adjacent to main road with ease of access to almost everything. Safe for women and families and very courteous and helpful staff.

Ashirbad guest house- neither hotel nor dharmshala

Ashirbad guest house is good in the sense that it is near to Kolkata airport and that too on main road. Rooms are not good but for economy sleep, rooms are good. Way to rooms is not so good but reception area is good. People are courteous and well behaved. Room rent is about Rs. 1500/- per night which does not come under hotel and it is above Dharmshala. Of course it is better than Dharmshala but not good like hotel. Food is good though limited choice in vegetarian food. One can have this guest house if one comes on business for whole day and then just wants night sound sleep.

Clean guest house with basic amenities for the budget traveller

We took a non-AC room on the 1st floor ans stayed 2 nights. It was clean and very airy. Just on the south side of Ballygunj Railway Station. The staff is friendly. Mind you, this is not a starred hotel, just a basic property for the budget traveller.
