Tharangini Boathouse - Best Boathouse
I had opted for Premium stay where rooms were clean and neat with hardly no concerns and issues.
Staffs are very courteous and always available to help travelers which I haven't seen much in my previous houseboat experience.
They helped us in providing food based on our ask which was very commendable.
Highly recommend Tharangini Houseboats.
Thanks to the Manager who guided us in reaching the destination on time.

A Disappointing Experience
Food Quality:
The biggest let-down was the food. Not only was it below average in taste, but it also lacked the authenticity that one would expect in Kerala. We were hoping for a taste of local flavors, but instead, we were served bland, tasteless meals. Even simple items like tea, coffee, and snacks were disappointing, with roadside vendors easily offering much better quality.
Portion Control:
It was surprising to see how the staff rationed the food. The options were limited, and when it came to non-vegetarian dishes or desserts, they were served in such small portions that it made us feel hesitant to ask for more. The experience felt more like a constraint than hospitality.
Room Conditions:
For the price we paid, the rooms were average at best. While we didn’t expect luxury, we did expect a certain level of comfort, which was only partially met.
Overall, the beautiful surroundings of Alleppey were overshadowed by a lacklustre houseboat experience. We left feeling disappointed, especially considering the price we paid for the stay. If you're expecting a culinary or hospitality highlight, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Overall good but slightly boring
We did however get a little bored. It is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. I did a lot of reading. But you would expect something organised, weather that’s a added speedboat trip where you can pay extra. Or somewhere for everyone to go to in the evening.
It was pretty much go on the boat, get fed every few hours and then your left to sit and watch the lakes.
We read, slept and played cards so not bad at all, just be prepared is all I say.
The staff did ask us if we wanted to beers in the evening, which they did go and get for us so that was nice and great of the staff
