Do NOT stay here

I have waited to write this review to enable the hotel to respond to our issues… but we have never received the compensation promised by Dimitri the owner for what I can only say was the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever experienced. We paid the hotel direct only to be told on arrival that they did not have any record and there was not a room available.. this was at 10.30pm after a very long journey from the UK. We were eventually put up in the Manager’s room which I can say was truly awful. We had to stay there 2 nights until they eventually moved us to a Lake View room. We were only at the hotel for a week and we were constantly having to badger the poor guy behind the desk to sort out issue after issue. The hotel itself should not be open it is basic in the extreme and needs a deep clean… the pool was disgusting, we have been visiting Skiathos for over 20 years so we are well prepared for “Rustic Greece” but this was another level of basic. The Oniro Group who own this and another hotel on the island should be ashamed of itself for taking the amount of money for such shabby accommodation. If you can book elsewhere please do!!!’

Should not be a jet 2 holiday destination!

Firstly, it was not ready for customers and does not reflect the price. On arrival at 10pm we walked into the dark and uninviting lobby and met a male receptionist. O my goodness on first impressions my heart sank. This was a very important holiday and we paid a bit more to enjoy the experience. For approximately £280.00 per night for 10 days it was a joke. We were shown to the very top of the building, three flights of stairs. Basic to say the least. Paid extra for the lake view but couldn't see very much of it.
Room: electric sockets hanging off the wall, light in bathroom on wall was hanging off the wall with only one light bulb working, shower hanging off wall, white plastic tube showing (asked them to get it fixed but that didn't happen), had to hold shower all week whilst showering, toilet seat not attached (they fixed it and it broke again sending me across the bathroom), curtains not great as they didn't fit the windows.
Now for the bed: NO MATTRESS COVER! Stained mattress, three pillows between two of us, had to roll up towels to use as pillows, pillows stained and horrible. This is a real no no for me. I'm not paranoid about things but my bed was horrible and I had to sleep on that for 10 nights. We could not change rooms as they were full - allegedly.! I cried!
For 10 nights: I had to ask for the beds to be changed twice, no clean towels for 10 nights, it was about 5 days when they changed the bins in the bathroom (this is the poo bins) etc etc so we dumped it all outside the room for collection.
When I asked for clean bedding I got a clean sheet and no clean pillowcases or towels. It was draining as you just gave up asking.
Floor not swept on regular basis, sand everywhere so you were getting into bed with it on your feet.
Breakfast: everyday the same, no change, fruit was tinned peaches and pineapple slices, toaster 2off slow and there was a queue, juice but very mundain.
If you want to come here and moan all week, swim in the green pool this is the hotel for you. If you want a nice holiday with not a green pool to swim in everyday go somewhere else.
We've stayed in a lot of places over the years but this really is shocking. Everyone was moaning and complaining. If you've not booked your holiday yet go somewhere else. Save your money as there are far cheaper holidays and nicer places to stay.
This was a disaster for us but decided to put it down to experience. This hotel should not be open. They purchased it and thought...well let's take the money and just deal with the complaints as they happen. O yet don't lean on the balcony's as the wood work is rotten.

Needs a lot improvement

I have written my review twice on TA but not seen it, so here we go for the first time.
This hotel was family owned a t some point but now is owned by a chain, that doesn’t care or have no idea how to operate an hotel for the prices they charge. On our first night there were no towels, AC hardly worked and forget a out the WiFi.
The crew at the restaurant for the morning breakfast tried hard to keep people happy, but they tried

Beware

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. No towels, air conditioner not working no drain covers. The Wifi does not reach the rooms, only in lobby. We wasted so much time to get another room and after we said we were calling the police they gave us a working room for us and our friends as well. They advertise as a 4 star but they barely make a 1 star.

A disappointing first impression

When we first arrived at this hotel (with does not have it's name outside!) we thought it was closed. The pool was roped off and an awful brown colour and there were no guests to be seen.. It wasn't closed and the pool was being treated - it was not available for the length of our stay. I believe it is open now. We were annoyed as one of the reasons for choosing this hotel was the fact that it advertised itself as having a pool. Out room was disappointing - the air conditioning did not work, it had no fridge (also advertised) and there was a dangerously broken floor tile. However, we were given another room. This was lovely, nice view, an attic room so it felt quite airy and had working air-conditioning and a fridge. The breakfasts are minimal (one day the milk was off) and the availability of fresh fruit sporadic. I don't think any more was ordered until the last piece had been consumed. At different times we had to ask for fruit juice, serviettes, knives, and a bread knife and tea towel for the loaves. It is in a wonderful location, it is clean and the staff will do their best to sort out problems. It needs some TLC. We won't be staying again
