This was one of the most memorable stays we have had as a family. The property, location, views, and services was amazing. We highly recommend renting a car if you want to stay here, so that you can get to the busy sides if you wanted to. We highly recommend this property

What a Shame !
The villa is truly beautiful—very spacious, with a breathtaking view—and the photos on Booking accurately reflect reality.
Its northern exposure, made it very exposed to the wind, which unfortunately limited our use of the terrace and the pool. Of course, this is due to the weather, and I cannot hold anyone responsible for it, but it is a pity that no part of the terrace is sheltered from the wind.
Breakfast is quite good.
That being said, I found the general maintenance of the villa somewhat below expectations. The daily cleaning is rather superficial, with some recurring oversights such as empty shower gel bottles left behind, breakfast remains not cleared away from the previous day, or hairs left in the same place for several days, The undersides of the tables are not cleaned.
The electrical meter, which had already tripped before, kept tripping nonstop surin thé stay.
There are also stains on the floor in the ground-floor bedroom and bathroom that probably cannot be cleaned anymore. On the ground floor, the lower parts of the air conditioners show rust, as does the towel holder in the bathroom. I had reported that the bathroom sink tap on the ground floor had no hot water, but it was not resolved during the stay.
Upstairs, the left bedroom window has an uncovered top section, which makes it impossible to sleep once the sun rises, as the light shines directly into the room. We had to tape paper over it to mitigate the problem.
On three occasions, the cleaning staff—who are otherwise very kind—also left the upstairs patio doors unlocked while we were away. The maintenance staff, who have a storage room on the side of the villa, were very noisy early in the morning and also not very discreet during the day.
In addition, there are numerous white stains from seagull droppings on the façade, and several times I had to run after the mattresses to prevent them from blowing away, even though I had requested that they be secured. This gives an impression of a certain lack of attention.
In summary, while the villa is indeed superb, the service and upkeep unfortunately detract a little from the overall experience. Considering the price charged (1600€/night) I must admit I was a little disappointed by these issues. On top of that, there was no flexibility when it came to checking out a little later, even if I was willing to pay an additional fee.
Lastly, thes manager’s attitude is a bit arrogant. At this price level, one can reasonably except excellence without being looked down upon by a hotel employee, Who should be more humble in their interactions with guests.

Unfortunately our trip was cut very short due to a medical problem but the villa itself was spacious, extremely well equipped and had stunning views of Santorini.

Arota Exclusive Villa is so beautiful!! It's modern, clean, and with an amazing view (almost every room has an ocean view). The property is so close to the beach and yet away from the busy tourist area (which we really like). Pavlos, the manager, really goes out of his way to help us. The communication started right after the Expedia booking confirmation and lasted until we left the island. Pavlos not only helped us on the property, but also with the boat cruise, car rental, island parking, and restaurant recommendations. He is our Santorini tour guide!! These people really care about the customers and want you to have the best vacation at the property.

Private paradise
We travel a lot as a couple and look for special places and special people to make our stays perfect. The team at Arota villas are real stars- it’s like having an invisible private butler, housekeeping team and events manager all at your fingertips. It just happens ! And you can get on with a private and very exclusive holiday in your own villa with stunning private pool, jakuzzis and even a hammam! Spotlessly clean, effortlessly stylish and comfortable, the villa is positioned on a hill overlooking a classic Greek sea and island view. We had planned to visit the rest of the island much more than we actually did but we were simply too comfortable and happy in the villa and didn’t need to budge ! So we are going back in Sept this year, with the same intention and probably with the same outcome :) can’t wait. Feel free to ask me any questions if you are visiting Arota villas. I recommend HIGHLY.
